"I didn't die in a car accident, Ella. That's what your precious mate made it look like. He wanted me gone. Leonardo Loren became Alpha when you were just eleven. That's when I disappeared. It was practically his first action as Alpha. His men came after me and left me close to death, they didn't finish me off because they didn't think I'd live and they wanted to maximise my suffering. But I did." "Leo tried to kill you?" I asked quietly. "He told me about how you were in the pack and why you were kicked out but he never mentioned that..." "What your mate tells you is just the surface of an iceberg, Ella," Connor said in a serious tone. "Ask anyone in this castle and they can tell you a mess

“My name is Connor Zeller. I'm sure you've heard of Master Aiden Zeller, the great ethereal shaman, right? I'm his successor! How dare you call me a fraud? Aren’t you afraid of divine retribution?” Connor responded with a smile, unfazed. “Besides, the truth is clear to everyone here. Even if you beat me up, the people have already seen the facts!” The crowd seized the moment, and began shouting. “What’s this? Is the Sleepless City crew trying to use force to hide the truth?”

“How’s life? Still chasing lost causes?” Elliot let out a low laugh, the sound almost dangerous, but he didn’t take the bait. “Actually, I’ve been pretty busy,” he replied, his eyes flicking to me for a second before returning to Spencer. “In fact, I brought someone you all should meet.” He gestured, and a guy stepped up—tall, wavy brown hair, blue eyes that seemed to scan everyone. “This is Connor O’Brien. His parents have passed and now it’s just him and his sister Laura, who he lives with and cares for. I have met her, and she is one of the nicest people I know. “Good morning,” Connor greets me as soon as I arrive at the warehouse to get our tools and our materials. “Having a nice day?”

And don’t try to distract me, woman.” “It’s Lolo,” I said. “She’s at Red Riding and – you’re not going to believe this – Connor is reluctant to let her go.” “Did he say why?” “No, she did. It seems he’s in need of a fake Luna. I wonder what went wrong between him and Robert’s sister.”

The man was smoking a thick stick of cigarette, and he let out a puff of smoke, his voice muffled by the mask. "So you are saying that Ophelia Storm isn't faking her amnesia?" The female nodded, clearing her throat. "Yes, Warrior. I had never seen her that afraid, and her husband believes that her attack was because of him." The man stared into the moonlight for a while, and then turned around, taking slow steps towards the female assassin who held her breath. Gently, he lifted the burning cigarette and pushed the butt into her skin, rolling it around slowly. "If you've made a mistake, and the order is exposed because of you, I will kill you, after I take out your weakness in front of you. W
