Even after Micah rescued me and the new batch of kids from that man and found me a home with his family, it has never stopped. Micah is a badass assassin who works for some secret assassin guild. Of course, I only know this because he was the one that rescued me from that house of horrors. All of the assassins he works with are gorgeous and total bad assess. Seriously, all of the men are beyond gorgeous. I try not to think about it too much because of him. Who is him, you ask? Well, he’s Connor Archer.

Cass raised an eyebrow and Sable blinked as if she had heard it wrong. “That’s…” Cass struggled to find the word. “Unexpected,” Nash finished for him. Sable nodded in agreement. Well, not quite the reaction I was hoping to get but it could have been a lot worse. “He’s the only one who cares for the people. Nash is an old acquaintance of his. I’ve also had enough time to understand how that man works. He’s the only good candidate for Neo Luna.” Sable eyed Cass while the man remained silent, brooding over the information.

Emily Warner “So what brings you to the dating sites?” I ask trying to change the subject. “Just trying to get to meet new people, I guess.” He says as the waiter comes in to take the order. I remember Carter telling me that’s code for a guy when he wants to have casual sex. But Jacob said on the dating profile that he was looking for someone to date? “So, what do you do?’ I ask as the waiter leaves after taking our order. “I am a lawyer but I am also a part time scuba instructor.” He says nicely but it wasn’t the same anymore.

Dan asks her, an incredulous look on his face. “Yes, Daniel, I want to hear about the mystery men not about how you use your equipment,” she says scrunching up her nose, but then she leans in to whisper to me, “I do need to hear about your first time later though.” I just smile, and roll my eyes nodding at the meddlesome girl. “Alright, the first guy I met was … um, Josh, I think. He was a blonde. Blue eyes. Charming. Very charming, and very respectful. He seemed more like a going steady type of a guy than a hookup though.”

“First, my deal.” Connor forced himself to breathe through his fury. “What do you want?” Lila’s smile widened. “You.” His stomach twisted with disgust. “Not a chance.” “Oh, relax,” she giggled, tracing a slow circle on his chest. “I don’t mean all of you… unless, of course, you’d like to reconsider?” Connor growled, and she sighed in fake disappointment. “Alright, alright. I'll tell you what I know first. Our deal will come afterwards.”

Somehow, he found a way to make the story hilarious, my amusement making my stomach hurt as I laughed heartily. Connor was just a harmless good-looking guy who seemed like he often got misjudged just because of how he looked. He lifted his wrist, pulling back his sleeve to reveal a smartwatch. “Oh, I've got to go.” He said, apologetically. I nodded. “It's no problem. I need to get back to my lodge too.” “Alright, Tallulah. I would've dropped you off but I didn't bring my ride.” I shook my head. “It's no problem. I'll be fine.”

“Yeah, that’s Logan Carter.” There was a round of Oh's and ahs from the group at the window. I heard my phone buzz on the table with a notification. I closed my laptop down and grabbed my things. A lot of the office stayed at the window watching as I exited. I must admit they were correct; he looked exceptional. He was wearing dark jeans, a crisp white T-shirt and a black leather jacket. He was leaning against the bonnet of a car I didn’t recognise.

Connor let out a heavy snort of disgust and forcefully crushed his cigarette butt into the crystal ashtray. He straightened his suit jacket. "Mortimer's wrath is far beyond my capability to handle. You two had better pray to the Moon Goddess that the bloodthirsty beast hasn't tracked that video back to our doorstep yet." Dropping that cold, brutal warning, Connor turned on his heel and strode out of the mansion without looking back. "Oh, honey! Connor! You can't just leave me here alone!" Seeing her husband completely wash his hands of the situation, Lillian stomped her feet in a panic, fresh tears rapidly streaming down her face.

"Connor Grant is a Close Protection specialist, runs his own bodyguard team and he's a guest on the island just now while he recovers from injuries." "What kind of injuries?" "Gunshot wound to the right leg. Did you hear about Sir Richard Branson's Island? Had a big fire on it a while back?" Mark frowned, remembering seeing headlines about it on the net. "Something about Kate Winslet rescuing his mom?" "That's it," Jasmine nodded. "Well, Connor is a friend of Kate's. He's done some work for her in the past and is tight with her family, so he was out there on vacation with them, as guests of Richard Branson."

“I need you to do something for me,” The person from the other line coughed, clearing his throat. “Yes, anything, Luna.” I nodded, pleased. “I want you to check the connection between Natalie and Mr. Connor.” “Mr. Connor?” “Yes. The former chief warrior who was elevated to the ranks of commanders.” I confirmed. “It’s simple and you should get it done. Find out the connection between Natalie and Connor.” “Is this in connection with the disappearance of the maid, Pyra Blackwood?”
