On the small fold-out table—the one that usually held junk—sat an induction cooktop. A heavy pot bubbled gently, steam rising in fragrant curls. Inside, tender chunks of lamb swam in a deep, herb-infused broth, carrots and potatoes bobbing alongside thick, chewy noodles.
Beside the pot, a plate of crusty bread sat waiting, along with a small dish of chili oil for those who wanted heat.
And on the side—a can of ice-cold beer, beads of condensation glistening on its surface.
