My plan for Alex Oliver was to make him as simple as the next man beside us. Alex wasn't hot—he was cute. Alex didn't have any flashy cars—he had a bicycle. He wasn't the CEO of any billionaire company, just a normal twenty seven year old doing his normal stuff.

His friends burst into laughter and pulled chairs beside us. “Hi! I’m Trigger. That’s Uno, and the guy with the mole on his forehead is Steven. The four of us go way back with Clyden,” Trigger said, casually grabbing a piece of chicken from Clyden’s bucket. “So… how did you end up dating this idiot?” Clyden shot him a glare. I just shook my head and continued eating. I didn’t want to get dragged into their nonsense. “Bro, I don’t think Miss Gaea even likes you,” Uno teased. “Look at her—she cares more about her fried chicken than you.”
