I was proud of the design for this one. And of course, there are the matching chairs. I went with a balloon back style. Eight side chairs and two armchairs are carved from the same mahogany as the table. And then Reese added the finishing touches. She upholstered them with gold damask fabric. I then made a sideboard to match and let Reese select the finishing touches. When the house is finally complete, I can’t wait to host a big party around this table and show off all our hard work.

But when I turned around I was faced with that strange couch thing and I hesitated. It was about two feet wide and shaped kind of like a kidney bean, or half of a yin-and-yang symbol—high and round on one end that was about the same height as my bed, but flowing down to a smaller round where the teardrop would be. The whole thing sat in some kind of flat frame that stopped it from rocking, because even the bottom was rounded. The frame had what looked like cords and small belts or cuffs attached to it. As I considered the whole thing, and what it might be used for, my stomach tingled—and got nervy too.

We scheduled to meet at 1:30 PM tomorrow, which will be perfect because Calvin will be in school then. I get off the phone and return to Drea who seems to be very interested in a large maple wood table with a brown tamarind finish. It’s probably one of the most beautiful tables I’ve ever seen. It’s got enough of a traditional look to be timeless, but then some flare that makes it look like it belongs to someone who has traveled the world. The details on the legs of the table and chairs all match with an ornate spindle design. The armchairs also have the same spindle design on the arm rests as well. Very lavish. The chairs are also upholstered in a gorgeous dark leather.

Surrounding the play area are wooden tables and chairs with umbrellas. Kane anxiously watches me as I attempt to take it all in. The furniture look a lot like the kind he had at the cabin. To the left of the room, rustic, handmade wooden couches and chairs with grey-blue upholstery arranged around a coffee table and television against the wall make up our living room area. The area rug on the floor is just a slightly darker blue than the upholstery. To the right is a massive dining table, made with the same wood as the furniture, but with benches instead of chairs. Behind it, in the corner, a bar with twinkling lights bouncing off the hanging wine glasses. “We have a table!” I say, excited.

Later. A couple of quick flips and Brad had the table set up in the only open space in the small cabin, which made the cabin seem infinitely smaller. What had reminded her of an old folding cot her dad took camping was now a comfortable-looking massage table with a beautiful leather cover and a form-fitting attachment at one end with a hole for her face. Cain knocked on the door as Brad was locking the table legs in place. “You timed that right,” Anne said. She held the door open for him and Cain walked in with two large tote bags. “Brad just got the table set up.”

No one had been there to meet them, but Shane figured a store this size kept all its workers busy. Finishing off the lobby was a waiting area featuring a voluminous brown leather couch, two matching leather recliners facing it, separated by an ornate glass-topped coffee table, scattered with several magazines. All the pieces had price-tags attached to them. A nice touch: A ready-to-purchase waiting area.

The furniture, the appliances, even the smallest decorative items - it's all there, arranged in a way that's both comfortable and stylish. The centerpiece of the room is a large, plush sectional sofa in a soft, creamy color. It looks incredibly inviting, making me want to curl up on it and take a nap. Complementing the sofa are two oversized armchairs in a rich, deep blue that adds a pop of color to the space. A rustic wooden coffee table sits in the center, its natural grain adding warmth to the room.

There was plenty of space on the top for paper, multiple quills, and a spot of an ink well, which I could see there were some already there, ready to go. The chair was lined with animal pelts on the arms and a fluffy leather cushion on the seat. The chairs around the table in the middle of the room were the same design but lower to the ground with a low table between them. I step up to the cabinets behind the tub and place the gown and slippers next to the soft-looking towels. I glance at the tinted door between the tub and the desk and see a full-length mirror.

On either side of this luxurious lounge were two chairs, white this time, with some red design on the seat and back. A glass coffee table stood proudly in the center of all the couches, resting on a simple white rug. On the backside of the couch combo were numerous chairs and a small, round table surrounded by more wood chairs, looking to be the same shade from the kitchen. Above the single sofa, there was a sketch of a wolf, mystic and gallant. The pride and honor shone from the posture and elegance radiated in the gracefulness of the lines. I took a few steps forward, inching to the picture, only to find all the lines were made up of a great deal of different names.

They are short but soft, giving me something simple yet pleasing to concentrate on. The loveseat we sit on is comfortably plush with a magenta colored microfiber covering sitting perpendicular to the shelves about five feet from the fireplace. A simple, espresso finished wooden table sits in the center with two recliner chairs on the other side. They are angled towards the center so that those sitting on the furniture can easily see and interact with one another without much effort.
