(Izobel’s POV) ‘Amber, help!’ I screamed, crying in silence as I was breathing heavily. I had witnessed Connor and Amber when they shapeshifted the first time, and though it has brought excitement to the family, they transformed in the woods, not inside an old wardrobe closet with a handsome guy who had no idea he would die tonight. I remembered my siblings crying, screaming as their bones snapped and stretched until they turned into a wolf completely. My golden yellow eyes radiate, creating the eyes of a hunter, and I could see Ethan as my sight turned into an excellent night vision. I could see him on the other corner of the closet, his head leaning on the wood, eyes closed.

******** Emily’s POV: I walked into my house thinking about the events of that day. I climbed up to my room and changed into my pajamas thinking about the things happened in the woods. It was unbelievable. I wondered how Melissa believed the reason they gave me. It was senseless according to me. I took a painkiller and while lying down on my bed I threw my phone on the side. Were they speaking the truth? How is it possible? When they were trying to make those animals run away, they made some sounds. It was so clear. How could they deny it? Jayda was about taking another shot when she heard the voice, the voice sounded angry and irritated but for some unknown reasons, it sent shivers down her spine. She looked at the owner of the voice and for once she forgot how to breathe. Hot and sexy would be an understatement to describe him. He was even looking hotter in his suit. She would have mocked him about wearing a suit to the club but on her way in, she noticed a couple of others with suits too. Perhaps they all came straight from work.

He dropped the glass on the table with a ‘tap’ sound that echoed throughout the room. Eyes on me the entire time, he rose. Alarmed, I slipped my fingers behind my leg, trying to find the knife I keep strapped to my calves but I came up empty. I calculated the risk of shifting but I would be vulnerable in the few seconds before I turned from human to wolf. I was forced to sit there and watch him, mouth drying in a way that had nothing to do with fear and everything to do with how freaking hot he was as he stalked towards me.

The fox gave a yelp of surprise and turned back around, digging deep down for that extra burst of speed as his claws gouged the wood, propelling him forward. The coyote shifted, paws becoming hands and feet, limbs turning into legs and arms, as the dark gray fur shifted into long, dark hair. The woman snatched Neal in mid-air, wrapping her hands around his tiny, furry body, and tucking him under her arm and against her naked flesh. "Got you!" she screamed as they hit the ground hard, rolling, her body protecting him as they slid along the grassy front yard. Saliva dripped like tar from their jaws, and their movements were jerky, twitching unnaturally. “Possessed!” I shouted. Rhett shifted in a blink, a blur of black fur and bared fangs. I called on the cold, let it surge through my veins. It was stronger now—more obedient. A smooth surge of winter power spread outward, coating the earth in frost. The wolves lunged.

Despite the cool night air against my bare skin, sweat beads on my forehead as I try to process what I'm seeing. "What the fuck is this?" I whisper, my voice barely audible even in the unnatural silence of the grove. The wolf's coat shimmers like freshly fallen snow, untouched by the decay that should have set in days ago. No smell of death, no signs of deterioration—just pristine white fur on a creature that shouldn't look this... preserved.

“So this is what you look like. The Millennium Coyotes.” Rayne taunts as he stands back in front of him. The Coyotes let out a laugh that sounded like the wheels of the carriage. His socket eyes stare back at Rayne, while his jagged teeth and bald head make him look like a ghost that dies from getting burned. “How could you? I want my face back,” the Coyotes affirmed in his deep and chilling voice, which would send a series of electricity down anyone's body at the gruesome image of him.
