Credence Penelope Douglas Summary Novels & Stories

"Donald, what exactly are you trying to say? Are you saying I made up someone in my head?" "Oh no Sir, that's definitely not what I'm saying" "Then what the fuck are you saying exactly?! " I yelled. My anger was already driven through the roof and i was doubting if I could take anymore. I had to quickly grab a chair and sit down first. Alison passed me water and I gulped down the contents faster than I ever imagined I could. You would think I was taking a shot. "Donald, what exactly are you saying?" "I'm saying that there is no way to track Miss. Penelope because she doesn't exist. No ID, no record. In fact, before 2 weeks ago, there was no such person as Penelope Brendan"

“Say what you came to say and get out." Three years. That’s how long Penelope had been my father’s widow. Three years of her showing motherly concern, but I could see her desperate attempts to claw her way into power. At first, I let her live because she was harmless. Now? My claws unsheathed slightly, puncturing the armrest. Now she’s overstepping… "That creature doesn’t belong here Damon!" Penelope strode forward, slamming her palms on my desk. “Take the pup from her and throw her back to the gutter she crawled from!"

“I—this isn’t—” Brayden’s voice was sharp, filled with cold fury. “Tell me, Penelope.” She looked up, shaking, tears spilling down her cheeks. “I don’t know anything about this!” she cried. Darla clicked her tongue, shaking her head. “Sure you don’t.” Penelope shook her head frantically. “This was staged! It’s fabricated!” Brayden stood up. His movement was slow, controlled—dangerous. “Take her away and lock her up,” he ordered.

Curious about him, they rose to toast him, exclaiming that he had solved the long-standing security problem in the fjords, as if he were the man of the evening. I don't care about the sophistication and power struggle in the world of men. I'm just waiting, waiting for the drugs to kick in. Soon there was a noise not far from me. "Penelope, What's wrong? Are you sick?" Following Vanessa's concerned voice, I saw Penelope sitting in her seat, her eyes glazed over, her face turning red. When she heard her name, she shook her head and reacted for a while, as if to confirm who was in front of her. "A little bit. I want to go back and rest..."

George kept a stern expression but still tried to comfort Penelope, saying, "Don't worry, sweetheart. Your mom and I will always have your back. We'll always support you." Penelope gave a soft smile. Her eyes were fixed on Rebecca. She was much more interested in Eugene's response. If she could become Mrs. Lloyd, she'd walk through life with her head held high. She didn't know what Eugene said on the other end of the call, but she noticed Rebecca suddenly froze. "Eugene, y-you heartless bastard! Penelope has been with you for three months! You really don't feel anything for her? Eugene Lloyd!" The line must've gone dead.

Penelope speaks up, “About me?” Penelope looks at the Luna with one eyebrow raised before focusing her gaze on Maven and she says, “Your Luna knew my name. If you hadn’t heard about everything going on, then how would she know my name?” Maven looks at his Luna before looking back at Penelope and explains, “That’s a complicated situation.” Penelope crosses her arms and retorts, “Our situation is too! How do we know that we can trust you?” I chastise her through a mind link and say, “Penelope! We need their help. I wouldn’t have brought you here if I didn’t think we could trust them.”

“Ember, please, you’ve made your point, they’ve seen you’re brave, please, that’s enough—” “It is not nearly enough,” Penelope says, not even looking at her. “Drink, girl.” I drink.

Penelope shook her head, “I trust you, Ms. Maia.” “Do you have that much faith in me?” After all, this was the first time they met each other. This time, Penelope nodded, “I was in the industry for quite some time. If I’ve learned anything, it’s how to read people. I can tell you have a kind soul, Ms. Maia. I also believe that women look out for each other. I can tell you’ll be the one to bring down Victor.” “Honestly, I’m not only taking him down for you guys. I have my own reasons as well.”

“Don’t misquote me, young lady. I didn’t say he murdered his wife. I said he was responsible for her death.” “Same difference,” Kate insisted and Penelope simply shrugged non-chalantly. “I’ll give you one free piece of advice though, woman to woman,” said Penelope. “Never give Tony a reason to be jealous. That was Agnes’ crime.” “I don’t understand,” said Kate. “Of course, you don’t,” Penelope said impatiently. “I’m done with this ridiculous conversation. I want to be left alone.” They both heard the sound of dry sticks breaking and they turned at the same time to look. They saw Athena approaching, looking stunning even in the darkening atmosphere.

I shifted uncomfortably on the couch, suddenly acutely aware of the scars that crisscrossed my skin. “Stop looking at me like that,” I muttered, unable to meet her gaze. Cecil reached out a hand, placing it gently on my arm. “I don't know Penelope that well, but she seems like the type to scheme and manipulate. She could even go as far as lying to the Alpha, claiming you attacked her. She might even inflict injuries on herself to make it seem more convincing.” The thought made my blood run cold. Penelope was ruthless, capable of anything to get what she wanted. And getting Damon to come home now and end me would be a very easy task for her.
