CARLY WOODS POV I was tired from my lack of sleep for two nights and I was also experiencing some headaches from all the crying, and screaming of the last two days. The wood was quiet except for the creepy sound of crickets and early birds that came out to pick worms. Each step I took was heavier than the last but I kept going. I couldn't stop, even if I wanted to. Twigs snapped under my black sneakers' clad feet as I hastily stepped on them on my way but I didn't care if someone was out there to hear me run.
