An Alpha's Dilemma
The Nexus chamber was vast and impossible.
There were no walls. No floor. Only floating islands of ancient stone suspended in a sea of light and void, interconnected by bridges of pure leyfire. Runes spiraled endlessly through the air, glowing in a myriad of hues—moonlight silver, forest green, flame gold, and shadow violet.
At the center floated the Nexus Core, a crystalline heart larger than any palace, slowly rotating with haunting grace. Magic poured from it like water from a fountain, flooding unseen ley veins that stretched to every corner of the world.
