Chapter 22 I alighted from the car, I checked around to be sure I was not followed by anyone as I would not allow anyone to know my secret else it would be a weapon for my enemies. I followed the narrow road, and I encountered some funny animal that kept looking at me without attacking me. They would not attack because they were controlled by the moon goddess. Those said animals are wolves that were caused due to their disobedience and ignorance but being caged here was one of the worst curses anyone would wish to get.

he said. "What! It can't be. I was the one he loved at first. Why the sudden twist of fate?" I asked. "You have to understand that the Alpha is under a curse and the only person that can help him break it is that girl and that's why they are bonded together," he explained. "Curse…! I think I have a brief knowledge of that," she said. "I am telling you all this so that you won't feel worse when you find him in the arms of another woman. They are fated mates," he said.

“And what’s that issue?” “I don’t know how to say, but my wolf’s fur was golden. It was a golden wolf. I didn’t hear of someone having a golden wolf. It can be a curse or ....” I didn’t know what to say. My voice was shaky. I didn’t know if it was a good sign or bad. What does the golden fur of my wolf indicate? Our wolves were cursed with poisonous venom that only the wolf of our true mate could withstand, hence a chosen mate was never an option. The problem was that the age always varies, there was no way to tell when an Alpha could go feral.” He paused,

By the time they broke through the tree line, the town was burning in full. Fire ran through the streets. The air around him shifted, thickening with power. He didn’t wait quickly He moved cutting down as many as he could quickly and swiftly.

“A cursed wolf is a bad omen. My wolf can wipe out the entire pack because it doesn't understand senses or emotions. The only thing it craves is blood.” “There must be a cure, right?” He forces a tight smile on his lips. “I can't be cured, Hailey.” “Nothing in this world can cure a cursed wolf. The Moon Goddess sent us without mates because we're so wild that we might end up killing our mates.” My head is spinning. He is in a worse situation than mine but standing so strong. “You know the rumor…” He rises to his feet, walks over to the lamp table next to the bed, opens the first drawer, and takes out the white first aid kit.

But why would any wolves, aside from rogues, be fighting us? Any other wolf can sense our aura and knows not to fuck with the princess of werewolves. Kodi forces our body up and limps as she tries to rejoin the fight. Jax’s voice fills our head as he mind links her, “Don’t, Kodi, it’s a freaking three-headed monster dog. You can’t go against it.” I realize what it is and mutter, “Cerberus.” Kodi responds, “Cerb a what now?” “Cerberus, it’s a mythical dog. We must be in the underworld.”

However, those were only her thoughts. "Cursed wolves should hide from others, especially from royal wolves. From ranks such as Alpha, beta, theta, delta, and gamma. Cursed wolves are cursed at birth, which means that even if they wish to, they can't erase the curse. However, if they want to, they can seek the assistance of witches in order to betray the eyes of others by bewitching their marks. But it will not be long before everyone knows about it. So when their wolves return, they will come out as wild and dangerous." Jennifer did not continue reading over the halfway point. She was unable to pull her gaze away from the book and asked,

She never had an interest in training, but after she was badly injured in a cur attack two years ago she’s since started taking training more seriously. Curs are packless wolves, commonly they’ve been exiled from their pack usually due to committing a crime or on the rare occasion they renounce their pack with reasons varying. Not all curs are bad, some even try to find new packs, but most packs turn them away, sadly. The ones exiled for serious crimes, however, tend to take exile as an opportunity to be as feral as they please, and they are the ones that pose a threat.
