I settled into a quiet corner, hoping to lose myself in the story. The book started like any other werewolf novel, talking about full moons and shifting. But then, I turned the page and my breath caught. There was a picture. Not the usual handsome man turning into a wolf, this was different. This wolf was massive with glowing red eyes and thick, dark fur. The caption underneath read, “Cursed Alphas.” It looked… powerful. Intimidating.

Vertimon asked. “I don’t know,” Idrissa shook his head as everyone watched them. The witches were still chanting their spell with their eyes closed since they don’t know who he would be killing next. Whereas, Edward and Hephzibah were still, their eyes pitch black. In Edward’s mind, he heard Hephzibah’s voice, “Look at what you are doing and how you would leave this world when you are done.” With that, a scene started playing in his mind. He was standing in the middle of what should have been a forest but was nothing but a pile of black ashes. He saw himself kneeling as the fire quenched and he was wailing uncontrollably.

The air smelled clean, the lights warm, the shelves tall and perfect. “Choose the book that pulls you,” the woman said. “It will tell you what you need.” She vanished into the shadows. I walked along the shelves. My hand stopped on one book, not because I liked it, but because something in me reacted. A strange pull. The title was old, written in faded ink:” The Nature of the Cursed: shifters of the Moon.” My fingers trembled as I opened it. Inside were sketches, human shadows twisted into wolves, claws emerging from the hands, glowing eyes in the darkness. I swallowed hard.

But her next words shocked eveey soul present their, " I curse u ,Elis Rosewood .I ,the rejected mate of Dian ' Julie Adams ' curses you. You would suffer the same wound as mine. You would never be able to love , your mate. As I never got , mine . Only because of u and ur acts. " And she fainted causing pin drop silence in whole palace. The cry of werewolves were heard indicating the dark phase arrival. Elis , who listened every thing , took a step back . Never had she thought , she would be punished for the mistake ,she never did.

She was gonna go after all of them even their families and pull out their ball sockets from each of them. She died with that hatred and disgust in her chest, and as life could have it, when she died and cross over to the path she was sent back saying it was not yet her time and besides she was cursed. All those words were like a joke to her but funny was that she woke up in that same nobody of hers. She was confused at first and was also afraid. She met people crossing over in that paths at Afterlife but it was rather not for her, and also that man in white told her that it was not yet her time and she was cursed, what does that mean? The thought came pouring down her head.

Jamal asked shakily. "Sit down back and stay silent till he finishes" Abu ordered. Jamal slowly sank back into his seat while Forbes continued.
