ZEPHYRINE's POV. I stood frozen, my mind reeling in shock. "Cursed!" someone shouted, and the word was taken up by others, echoing through the clearing. "She's cursed, she's cursed, she's cursed! I felt like I'd gotten the wind sucked out of me, that he had reached in and sucked everything from my insides out. The words cut deep, and a part of me couldn't help but wonder one question: Was it me? Am I cursed to have people around me die under these circumstances that are so mysterious?

Jekyll said casually. He wasn't even 40 years old, but his gaze was calm and knowing. "The Spirale Clan built their base here for one reason—this giant fish and the begonia tree. No one knows how the tree grew, and no one knows what the fish truly is. "But according to ancient legend, there's something called the fish's blessing. And those who receive it will play a pivotal role in the great upheaval to come." "Great upheaval?" Gideon frowned, even more puzzled.

My voice cracked on the words because I was certain that he did love me. Confusion marred her perfect features. “Is he sick?” Because truly, that would be the only other problem. “He's cursed.” I blurted out. “Cursed?” She sounded disbelieving. “Yes, cursed.” I spent the next few minutes explaining Brian's curse, his age, the death of his prior mates, and the future event of my possible death.

Without hesitation, I let go and let the beast take control. With each stride, I got closer to the cursed pool that had almost claimed me once as I thundered through the jungle, four paws rapping the ground with deadly rhythm. With its ragged arch opening like a beast about to devour me whole, the cave's mouth emerged into view. I changed into my human shape and rushed forward, bursting into the darkness without slowing. In the darkness, that foul, glistening water radiated a radiance too lovely to be anything but lethal. Like a live creature, it pulsed softly.

It has been a thousand years now and many third month of the full moon had passed but I was yet to meet the destined one. I opened my eyes which was filled with agony. My heart felt heavy from the burden I had been carrying for thousands of years. I regretted the day I had killed that innocent man thinking he was responsible for the death of my parents. What I didn’t know was the man had been cursed and whoever killed him would be the new host of the curse. Being able to live for thousands of years might be the longing of many wolves but not me as I was tired of repeating the same cycle over and over again.

The words from my mouth were cursed. Anything I said came true. When I was eight, a child trafficker broke my right leg. I stared at him and said, "You made me limp, so I'll make you limp too." A second later, steel pipes from an overturned truck went through both his legs. When I was twelve, a staff member at the orphanage stole my winter coat. I said to her, "You stole my warmth, so I'll give you the cold. You won't live past tonight. Ice will be your coffin." That night, she passed out drunk in a walk-in freezer and froze to death. Then the wealthy Shaw family found me and brought me home. However, I knew I was a monster, so I kept my mouth shut and acted like I was mute. But

Fisher said. “No! You are the only hope we have in removing the curse.” Esmeralda cried. “You must have done something,that is blocking the ritual from working.” Fisher said. I sat there in tears, as the realization hit me. Fisher can’t remove the curse and he’s the only one that knows how to remove curses done with black magic. “Fisher, what do you mean?” Eden asked “I am sorry, King Eden, there’s nothing I can do.” Fisher said sadly.

'Cursed wolf.' Everywhere went deafening silent the moment someone in the crowd had uttered that statement and Tristan had halted on his track. Tristan clenched his fist with his eyes closed, trying to control the rage he felt. The people worried as they looked amongst themselves, trying to fish out who had muttered that word to avoid being killed for they knew Tristan wrath and he didn't waste time in getting rid of anyone who dared him. Cursed from birth, Tristan had to suffer the hereditary curse passed down to him because of the sins of his father.
