Spinning in the other direction, we both realized that a man now lay dead behind Steel. The man had just saved our lives! Turning towards him again, the man lowered the gun and stepped into the light. And hell, if the man wasn’t named Nick Fury, I don’t know who would! The guy was missing half his face! Scars covered most of his face as if someone had mistaken it for a chew toy. And his eye color---! One eye was almost yellow, even in the dark night, while the other was white, revealing that the man was blind in that eye.

At least, that is what I tell myself. Ryker doesn't answer me. Instead, he crouches low in front of me, his massive frame folding down like a predator that wants to toy with its prey. I catch the nasty manner with which his knuckles are bruised with scars, looking so rough like they have seen more than their fair share of fights. I also recognize the serpent tattoo coiling up his right forearm, with another tattoo that is a dead man’s skull circled by a crescent moon in blood-red ink right on his left bicep.

She picked up the said deadly weapon in her hands and attacked the intruder, "DIE IN THE NAME OF THE HOLY POWER OF THE FRYING PAN" accompanied the war cry. The person swiftly turned his figure silhouetted against the light streaming from the refrigerator. His because Eira's mind registered the fact that it was a male from the build. The person tried to take on the holy power of the frying pan that Eira had now slapped onto his face. Smack. The momentum of it had him slamming against the refrigerator door.
