Where Wild Things Roam
Stumbling out behind her, I stand frozen at her shoulder, gasping in stunned horror as she does, at the vicious mayhem around us.
“Holy goddesses,” Darby whispers, aghast. Without another word, she raises her hand and a wild burst of flames leaps from it, twisting and arcing like a solar flare and engulfing a lumbering group of zombies. They jerk and twitch as the fire consumes them, the burning remains collapsing into sparking ruins and crashing into others around them.
