CHAPTER 76: WITH RELATION TO THE DEVIL ZAHRA'S POV The fire crackled softly in the corner of the room, casting a warm glow on the nearby furniture. I lay on the couch in Dashiell's estate, my limbs heavy with weakness. The familiar scent of the leather seats mixed with the faint smell of ginseng still emitting from my clothes. I traced a finger along the bandage on my forehead, my thoughts drifting back to Davina pinning me against the altar stone, and her vile perverted touches. The disgusting way she spoke, and the feeling of her tongue trailing up my neck, still haunted me.

I checked surreptitiously to see if it glowed and thankfully, my button up shirt was three buttons undone so my chest was still visible. I frowned when it flickered weakly, like a busted light bulb. Was that supposed to happen? Was that supposed to glow like that? Did the curse break that confession?

Ch-90 The fire appeared in her palm. It looked different from the general fire. Instead of red color, it burned in blue and green flames, making it look like the fire started with a mixture of copper and barium chemicals. Abigail felt scared looking at them. How could this happen? Would she kill her or what? This can’t be happening!

The second Nara pulled back the dark fabric at his waist, she gasped. I felt sick. Angry wounds crossed his lower back and hips, some fresh, others half-healed. Silver burns marked the torn skin. Dain's body jerked as air touched the injuries. "Fuck—" Nara immediately cupped his face. "I know," she whispered shakily. "I know. I'm sorry." Dain squeezed his eyes shut hard, groaning. "He used silver blades," he rasped. "Sometimes hooks." Rage flooded me so suddenly it made my vision blur.
