HEEDAH’S POV I sighed as I searched through the big book, Jasper and Daniel had already gone, it was getting late already, I relaxed on my bed, there are thousands of deadly species of beings in this book except werewolves and all were dangerous, but I still didn’t see any creature that looked what we encountered that day, although I still had a long way to go, this would take all night literally. I closed my eyelids for some time l when I recalled all that happened back at school with Anna and Karl.

Colin’s gaze falls to the book. “What is that?” “It’s our secret weapon.” “Yes, a book sounds really dangerous,” Stephen spits. “What is in the book is what matters,” I reply. “What’s in it, Alex?” Colin asks. “It’s the secrets of several supernatural species. Almost like someone researched them and recorded everything. Including all the ways to kill or harm them. Whoever wrote it had to have survived some really crazy things.” “Where did you find it?” Ray asks. “Was it in your library this whole time?”

He said walking through the vast site. The leader of the clan, walked to the last shelf and picked up a big black and gold book. On the cover was a huge dragon, written, legendary creatures, extinct and extant. Cassius handed it to the girls and said:" Good luck. Now the work is with the young." He laughed. Nayssa and Kyria looked at each other and smiled, they sat down on the large wooden table and sat down in the padded chairs. The book was really huge, with a thickness of 20cm. Nayssa began to flip through the pages. There were several creatures in that world besides wolves. And the similarity between them was the hatred for the werewolves who took their mother away from them.

Aria lunges forward but I catch her around the waist, pulling her back against my chest as the ancient pages curl and blacken and turn to ash. "What are you doing?!" She twists in my hold and her nails dig into my forearms. "That was the only book about Celestial Wolves! I needed that!" "You needed it destroyed," I say against her ear and keep my arms locked around her. "Before anyone else found it." "Why? Why is it so dangerous?!" Her voice cracks and she's shaking now, not from fear but from fury.

He chuckled slightly as he gestured to the fishes. "This one is a Killifish" I wasn't really paying attention but it was nice to watch him be relaxed for a change. "That's a Labyrinth fish" he continued to do so but I couldn't even complain because for the first time, I was seeing a different side of him from the cold persona he has built up in the past week. "Mommy, let's go see a dolphin, that man keeps talking about the fishes and because of that, I'm not able to enjoy watching them swim around." A young boy who was standing with his mother not far away from us cried loudly.

Damien looked at her like he regretted saying the words the second they left his mouth. Yet somehow couldn’t take them back. Thunder rolled outside the windows. Neither moved. Vivian should say something. Professional. Reasonable. Safe. Instead she asked softly: “What exactly are you trying to say?” Damien’s jaw tightened. For a second, she thought he might finally say it. I pull out one of the novels. “Behind Her Eyes by Sarah Pinborough,” he said immediately, without even glancing at it. He could tell which of the books were missing by just looking at the rest on the rack. “You read it?” There's suspicion in his tone.

“Gavyn was forcing Fabian’s hands by using every trick he could from the ancient book.” My brows knitted in confusion. “What ancient book are you talking about?” The hairs on the back of my neck rose. There is only one book that I knew Warlocks possessed, but Fabian is guarding it with his life. That book is dangerous. It was not called The Book of Damned for nothing. The Book of the Damned contains powerful dark magic spells and is considered the most potent record of dark magic. If it fell into the wrong hands, who knows what may happen?

"They told me Flowermoon abilities are extremely rare. The books about them are kept in another section that only you can access." His expression changed slightly. "I see." "So I decided that when you came back, I would ask you to take me there." He nodded once. "I'll take you." My face brightened. "Really?" "Of course." I smiled. "There was something else, though." His gaze returned to me. "What?" "I found another book." I hesitated. "It was about wolves who had been exiled, banished, or killed because they were considered dangerous. It was almost like a collection of old stories about packs that had committed terrible things."

After a few seconds, he finally mutters, still looking lost, “Just don’t go too far. It could be dangerous. There are wild animals around here. At night, it’s better to stay close to the fire.” How thoughtful of him. Except, he seems to have forgotten that I’m not entirely human myself — and wild animals tend to stay far away from me. Once, when my parents took my sister and me to the zoo, the animals practically freaked out around me. Even the wolves lowered their heads and avoided meeting my eyes. Though, to be fair, that zoo only had harmless little creatures — no serious predators.
