Dawn was hiding something from her, and Aqua’s instincts told her it was related to something dangerous. She had an inkling about the type of person, and life Dawn led when she first saved him. However, she knew he wasn’t evil despite the smell of metal on him and his occasional cold gazes when deep in thought. Dawn’s hands were warm, his heart was kind, and he had no ill intentions towards Aqua. He informed her about the dangers in the human world and taught her what she needed to know to survive on land. However, Aqua’s heart was in turmoil when it knew how Dawn was deliberately putting himself in danger. He wasn’t simply going out to hunt for food.

My heart skipped a beat as I reopened it to look at him again. “You should get some sleep. Dinner will be served at seven and after that we enter dangerous waters. You’ll want to be alert, milady.” My brow furrowed. “Dangerous waters?” “Aye.” He clenched his jaw. “Exiles own the water, ma’am. Whatever your brother or the Captain told you was a lie. They have no idea what they’ll be facing. Exiles have granted us passage from time to time, but this ship is carrying two Royals. I doubt they’ll look the other way now.”

But the longer I stayed in the water, the more dangerous it was for me and my unborn child. “Turn around,” I said, and he noticed the clothes lying on the shore. His eyes turned back to me, and I covered my chest with my arms. Without a word, he turned around. I got out of the water and put on the white midi dress. I tried to squeeze the water out of my curly hair. But it still dripped, soaking my dress. “How the hell do you end up in places like this!” He growled and I could feel my anger rising again. “Do you have any idea how dangerous this could have been!”

Adrian refused to retreat into his shell like a turtle. What was the point of hiding? The beast swarm presented an opportunity. As the saying went, "You can catch fish in troubled waters,” so why not take advantage of the situation? Often, the most dangerous place was the safest. Adrian and Lexie both believed that if a beast swarm erupted, the open sea might become safer than the inner sea, where dark beasts could become more abundant. Once it was clean, I read the book to Ryker. “It is the Book of The Damned.” All I wanted was to get a hold of that book and satisfy my curiosity but when I did, I could feel the power surging from the book, my hands were painfully attached to it. Then the book opened, forcing my palm to hold it up the pages started to flip rapidly. So many images flashed through my mind but none of which I recalled. The book slammed shut and I blinked. I turned to Ryker and swallowed before finding my voice to speak, “Did you see that?”

"After eight months of making you all see this my way, you still doubt it? I thought we were just coming here to finalize not–" “You move product through ports that attract heat," Mateo cut me off, pulling the cigar from between his lips. "We don’t need that kind of attention.” “You already have it,” I replied coolly. “You’re just pretending you don’t.” Daniel scoffed, his fingers tapping on the table with impatience. “You’re younger. Ambitious. You're no new person to us, Enricho. You're a dangerous man. Why should we bind ourselves to someone who might drag us into wars we didn’t start?”

It was an indescribable feeling, one that gave me goosebumps, as if every fiber in my being were alive with passion and desire. “Darling, you are so much more than that woman, keep that firmly in your mind.” He clenched his jaw, “However, I must caution you to be mindful of people like her; they can do unimaginable damage if given the chance. I don't want to see that happen to you and it's why I'm saying this. The world is a tough place and there are many forces out there looking to bring down those who dare to stand up against them. That woman is one of those forces.”

Jasper stopped also and turned to face her "What are you talking about?!" "Please let's leave, I'm tired," Jasper said, but Emma quietly walked to the car, pulled the front door open took out a bottle of water and walked to the Lady. "What are doing ?!" Jasper whispered and yelled frustratingly. "This could go awful wrong" he added. "And it might not" she replied. "Hey, " Emma said immediately she got to the lady and slowly squatted beside her. "Are you okay ?!" She whispered and stretched to her the bottle of water she was holding.
