Once it was clean, I read the book to Ryker. “It is the Book of The Damned.” All I wanted was to get a hold of that book and satisfy my curiosity but when I did, I could feel the power surging from the book, my hands were painfully attached to it. Then the book opened, forcing my palm to hold it up the pages started to flip rapidly. So many images flashed through my mind but none of which I recalled. The book slammed shut and I blinked. I turned to Ryker and swallowed before finding my voice to speak, “Did you see that?”

I say as he slides into the seat. He lifts my mug, reading the little chalkboard logo. “I’m full of surprises.” “Dangerous ones? “Depends. Is caffeine and questionable literature your definition of danger?” He smirks, loosening his coat. “What’s the book?” I glance down, then grimace. “Some wildly over-hyped thriller about a detective with a drinking problem. Groundbreaking, right?” Marcus leans over, plucking the book from my hands before I can protest. His shoulder brushes mine in the process, and my pulse spikes like it has no sense of boundaries. He flips through the pages with a skeptical eyebrow.

Starting this book wasn't part of the plan. That day, my goal was to scroll through P*******t to find a cover for "GOOD SIN" since I wasn't able to afford a designer. But then, I saw a rainbow poem. And it was just... too emotional. I've always been neutral but the idea just came that day. I wasn't a big fan of MM or BL books and I knew it won't hurt to do something new so I started my first draft. The final kick in the ass was Goodnovel's contest. I applied and I wasn't really surprised when it passed the review because I worked for this.

I wasn't. That dream didn't mean anything. The way my body had responded to him didn't mean anything. It was just stress and proximity and my subconscious playing tricks on me.
