Elliot's expression suddenly turned dark, and he felt the urge to run. He forcefully disconnected the phone call, marched towards the door, hesitated, took three steps forward, and then hurriedly turned back towards the bedside. Despite his reluctance, he lifted Daniel and placed him gently on the bed, covering him with a quilt. Sternly, he commanded, "Stay here obediently. Don't wander around without sleeping!" Daniel looked at his father's serious face and quieted down, responding with a soft "Hmm."

“In the hallway. I heard it from the dining room. He said Damien and you stopped walking.” The kitchen was very quiet. “Goodnight Daniel,” I said. Daniel was silent for a moment. Then he stood. I tracked him by sound across the dining room, coat lifted from the chair, the familiar weight of him moving toward the elevator. “I’m in the city until Sunday,” he said. “Lunch tomorrow. All three of us.” “He has work.” “It’s Friday, Damien. Let the man eat.” The elevator opened. “He’s still here,” Daniel said simply, from the doorway. “After everything you’ve thrown at him. Think about why.”

Daniel’s head snapped upward. His voice dropped instantly. “That’s not good.”

Aiden’s Pov The words hit me like a stone. The room stopped moving for a second. It felt like the world shifted beneath my feet. I couldn’t believe what I had just heard. “What- what did you just say?” I stuttered, my heart pounding in my chest. Daniel slowly removed his glasses, placing his hands on his hips like he was already tired. “Yes my Lord. She was poisoned with wolfsbane.” Daniel stated as if he had given up already , like there was no hope left.

“You don’t get to plead with me. You lost that right the moment you left me and my mother to fend for ourselves. You will pay for every decision you’ve ever made.” He turned, gesturing to his men. They moved instantly, surrounding him once more. The room seemed to shrink again, the atmosphere turning heavy and suffocating. Daniel paused at the doorway, looking back over his shoulder at us. His eyes glinted with a terrifying intensity. “Sleep with one eye open,” he warned, voice soft and chillingly pleasant. “Because I promise you… your nightmare is only just beginning!”

Daniel asked trying to overtake Nilela but couldn't, no matter which side he moved to, Nilela could swing that side too.
