The place was empty. Short bursts of memory flooded through my brain. Me sitting in the darkness, drowning in alcohol as if it could erase the fact that I couldn't break up with Anne as planned. I remembered saying something to Daniel last night but couldn't recall what no matter how hard I searched my brain.
