My Running Nightmare
The fear was still there.
“I’m not going to hurt you.”
“The dreams are so vivid. They feel so real. I just need you to not touch me for a while.”
“I was hoping you were coming to care for me but I guess not.”
Tabitha rolled towards him and said, “I do care about you, Mark, but you have to understand that my mind and body are responding to something I don’t understand. I don’t know if I loved you before or not, but the dreams or memories, whatever they are, affect me. I feel fear because you are hurting me. Just give me some time, okay? Eventually, I’m either going to remember something or I’m not. But, if I just keep having these dreams, are you going to change how you act towards me?”
