The one connected to my Sexy Red persona. Danny's name flashed on the screen. What could he possibly want? My hands were shaking as I grabbed the voice modulator and answered. "Hello?" I said in my altered voice. "Sexy Red, hi," Danny said, and something in his tone made my stomach drop. "Hi," I responded carefully. "I thought about everything you said," Danny continued, his voice oddly calm. "And there's something important I need to tell you. Can we meet? Just briefly. In the next ten minutes. This is very important."

And all because of the flaxen-haired beauty whose ghost just ripped him to shreds all over again. Danny sighed, motioning for the bartender to come over. “Another round?” she asked without emotion of any kind. “No,” Danny muttered. “Just the check. But use this card. Not the one he gave you.” He handed her a black American Express card. Darrell objected, “D, let me get this for you.” “No. But thank you. For…you know.” The bartender glanced between them with a smile and turned to run the card. When she brought it back, she said, “So you’re not a jerk after all.”

Danny walked toward the window, his hand reaching for the paper. "Danny, don't," Elias warned, standing up. But the journalist in Danny was already in control. He picked up the note. As his fingers touched the obsidian, a jolt of ice-cold energy shot up his arm, and for a split second, he didn't see the library. He saw a woman standing in the mist, her eyes identical to his own, screaming a warning he couldn't hear. The note simply said: Ask him about the 'Silver Treaty of 1998.' Ask him how your mother really died.

He exclaimed. “How about Zeus?” Leia chimed in. “Is he a Greek God?” I questioned. “To somebody, probably.” Leia muttered. I shook my head. “He’s too young to be a David. What about Danny?” It suits him, in my opinion. “Perfect!” Jacques cried. “Prisoner, your new name is Danny. I hope it treats you well.” Jacques nodded toward Danny, who was scratching his head in confusion. Did he not like the name? “Are you two finished?” A voice groaned beside me. I turned to see Nate glaring at us in disbelief, although I could see from the corners of his lips he was putting a huge amount of effort into not smiling.

Damontry just stared at her place while he pinned her to the wall, after removing his hood, revealing his brown curly hair, beautiful blue eyes, and the details of his sculpted face. "Don't be afraid, I'm the Daniel I told you about, Mr. Spencer. I'm the butler at King William's Palace. You can call me Danny." He said smiling radiantly and turning away from Damontry a little before bowing to her in submission.

I grab fur, muscle, bone…anything I can hold onto. “RUN!” I scream for the hundredth time. The wolf twists, eyes never leaving Catherine. And then… “What are you guys doing? Shooting a Hollywood action movie?” The voice cuts through everything, laughing. I whip my head around. Danny. Standing there. Alive. Oblivious. Annoying.
