So I actually listened to 'Dare to Lead' last month while on a long road trip. For legal downloads, I always check the author's site first – Brene Brown links directly to retailers like Audible, Apple Books, and Google Play. Those are the obvious ones. But I've found the library route is way more affordable than people think.
My local library uses Libby, and I just searched. They had the audiobook available with no waitlist, which was surprising. Downloaded it straight to my phone. If your library doesn't have it, you can often request they purchase a copy, or check Hoopla – some libraries offer that too, and their catalog is different. Zero cost.
Audible is fine if you want to own it and have a credit, but I'm too cheap for that when libraries exist. The Libby app isn't the prettiest, but it gets the job done. Listening to Brene narrate her own work is worth it, she puts so much emphasis in the right places.
Ended up taking a ton of voice memos on my phone of quotes I wanted to remember. The whole experience felt smoother than I expected.
