He adjusted the mirror and glanced at me through it.
“You know,” he said thoughtfully, “your boy’s eyes… they’re unusual. That amber shade, I’ve only ever seen that color in one person.”
I held my breath.
“My Alpha,” he added after a pause. “He’s the only one I know with eyes like that.”
My throat tightened. I said nothing, just stared at my baby who was now quietly watching the glowing console lights. He did have his father’s eyes, striking, golden-amber, the kind that caught attention in any room.
