Absolute Darkness – Elusive Killing Silver’s mother watched with furrowed brows as the dark light covered Mane’s entire frame. Her eyes shook in anxious fear as she recognised the element that was being called upon. Silver who was next to her was confused, not understanding his mother’s sudden change in countenance. But even he could understand one thing: whatever that light was, even his mother was afraid of it!

This is just a play to them. "END IT ALREADY" I heard a scream practically across the forest from Rag. "My hand is itching for an action" He spoke with a smirk while he again yelled at Gicep. Guess he is excited. "I guess time is up if my little brother is asking for it" He spoke and suddenly his sword glowed. But in black. Small particles started coming out of his sword and the silver color turned black. He moved at a light speed that my eye couldn't follow, but at last, he is standing at the back of that fog and the fog disappeared with a small blast this time.

It coaxed me out of my pillow fort of memories and back to the bright realm of my unfortunate reality. Cautiously I opened my eyes. Two faces swam into focus. One was Logan, I knew him immediately. He looked worried but relief flooded over him as I blinked. The other face I didn't know and I shrank back when it came into focus. The stranger raised his empty hands palms out towards me and stepped away. "I mean you no harm." He said softly. His voice was the hot cocoa. "Silver, this is Bartholomew Skye. He's our new pack healer."

I said. Immediately, one of the men yanked my hair back and punched me across the face. Blood dripped from my lips. “I’ve been watching you from the shadows, Ethan. You have no idea what kind of game you’re trying to play with the Blackwoods. Watch your back while you still can,” Caspian warned calmly. The calmness in his voice made my stomach churn. It confirmed what I already suspected—the Blackwoods were far worse than they appeared. “I’m not sleeping with Marlene. If I were, I wouldn’t hide it,” I said. His eyes darkened.

And then, silence. A scream shattered the dusk. Not Ridge. Not Luna. Something inhuman. They came from the trees—figures cloaked in rot and shadows, twisted armor etched with claws and blood-writ glyphs. Hollow pack. Their stench struck first—metal turned sour, flesh long spoiled. Trisha moved before command was called. Her axe unslung in one motion, she veered left into the shadows where screams grew sharper. Serin roared, “West line! Fall to the crest!” even as Ridge archers loosed arrows overhead.

What she saw sent a chill down her spine—Hugo standing amidst the wreckage, his sea-green eyes locked on a monstrous figure she barely recognized. It was a wolf, but not just any wolf. This one had light brown fur with a black patch across its back, its amber eyes glowing with a cruel intensity. The creature stood beside another, darker figure—Malrik—his grin wide with satisfaction.

He smiles at Blake and sighs. He pushes the case near Blake, and leans down against his chair. "No.... what you need, is this baby. An enchanted Silver Dagger that is dipped in the Ashes of the Ancient Silver Maple Tree. It can kill a Primordial vampire, but only temporarily. The Dagger must remain in the heart of the Primordial vampire to keep them incapacitated, otherwise they will revive. But if you ask me, it's best if you chop his damn head off." His grandpa laughs, trying to ease off a bit of tension felt in the air.

I hissed back, watching the man’s pitch-black eyes narrow angrily at me. “Is that a threat? Michael Gotham?” Wolverine Silver whispered so quietly that I almost wasn't sure he had spoken. Icy shards of glass slithered down my back to freeze over at the base of my spine. Of all the wolves at the table, it was Wolverine Silver I was most worried about. He had gotten his name because he was somehow immune to silver. Wolverine was a shredded beast on the battle field who could withstand silver attacks even better than us Alphas. We needed him on our side.

Was that silver? But it couldn’t be! Silver had never held that degree of pain for him before! And wolves couldn’t use it at all! Unless!!! He looked at the wolves again, their teeth looked silver! As the black one jumped slightly making him go defensive the one behind him attacked again! Grabbing his leg this time!

It was most likely that Chloe had been preoccupied for no reason but Dagmar, despite having the subtlety of a brick to the head, was the best one to confirm that. “What is a shadow wolf?” Chloe finally asked. The silence was deafening and Chloe could feel Ursula's surprise pulsing off of her in waves. But while Ursula was surprised by the question, Dagmar wasn't. If anything, it was as if the older witch had been expecting the question and had simply been waiting for Chloe to mention it. There was a knowing in her hard eyes that once again, had Chloe wondering just how long had Dagmar been walking the earth and was there anything she didn't know.
