Unbeknownst to Elena, I had not come back from the Dark Forest empty-handed. At the very corner of the bottom drawer, lie two things. The other is my old butterfly-shaped hairpin, only this is no longer an ordinary hairpin. The ends of the sharpened pin had been infused with the very thing that we wolves fear the most; liquid silver. Then out of nowhere I see another black wolf, fully grown, and it kills the little wolf. I am immediately enraged and attack the wolf and kill him. Now it’s just me and the silver dragon. The dragon says, ‘I love you daddy’ and then jerk awake.
