A thick fog rolled in from the ocean, shrouding the rusted shipping containers and abandoned cranes in eerie silence. The only sound was the distant crashing of waves against the dock and the faint clicking of weapons being loaded. “Little Bird.” Jumping, I turned to find Bane standing there in the same suit as I’d seen him in this morning, although he’d jettisoned the jacket.
