Chained By Fate

Chained By Fate

I watched as we approached the rusted metal door that led to stairs but couldn’t remember going down them. The sight of an unfamiliar bed flashed before me next, small and thin, but I was dropped to the floor instead and released a cry of pain. The last thing I remembered was hearing the metal door slam closed and the clicking of a lock until I was awoken by a dark chuckle. My body was stiff and sore, my ankles and wrists were burning from the silver chains, and I was terrified that if I moved, more flesh would be stripped from my limbs. “I didn’t… do it,” I groaned, gasping between the words as I tried to force my eyes open.

The Alpha Assassin

The Alpha Assassin

*Trigger warning for this book. Murder, talk of sexual assault, suicide, descriptive death scenes* I stood in blackness, darker than anything I have seen or felt before, it pulsed through me. It was me. My parent's bodies under my feet were twisted and bloodied, indicating a death that was anything but painless; I knew they fought back until the very end. Blood was the only thing that I could smell; its thick tang coated the air, coated my hands. I knew they were there, but my head was clouded, my vision blurry from the moment I stumbled upon them.

Miss M
Great story! Very well written with a strong main character and storyline. Well developed characters that you can sympathize with and dislike their actions at the same time. Would be awesome if there was a prequel story and just waiting on the sequel. Mar 27/24

Such a refreshing read!!! STRONG female lead. This was so different and so insanely satisfying. It has everything, drama, love, friendship, rebuilding. You’ll laugh and cry and go on an emotional roller coaster but it’s worth it. I’m going to re read it now

Blackwater Val

Blackwater Val

Elsewhere still, also unnoticed, dusky shapes were gliding silently through the birches and oak trees of Shaw Woods, gaunt, ill-defined shapes, newly risen, gathering pace and cohesion, climbing along the ridge known to locals as Duck Blind Point, one of them—the revenant gripping an unclean Bible—fixing its dark sockets on Shaw-Meredith House above where a light shone in the arched windows. But somebody did notice a female form moving through leaves and on down to a fenced corner where a boy remained chained. Her hooded zip-up was open, and she carried a meat cleaver in one hand and a 50,000 volt stun baton in the other. She slowed, creeping nearer like a panther on the scent, licking her l

Death Notice

Death Notice

The two bodies that lost support instantly fell to the sides, and two gray-white semicircles fell from the skull. It was Adalind’s brain! The entire room was dyed red by the blood that spurted out from the chainsaw. The roar of the chainsaw motor gradually quieted down until it stopped. “What happened? How did she die?” “Right? Didn’t the scales tilt? Why did the chainsaw start!” “That’s not right. The iron lock was already open. Why didn’t she run?” “No matter how she died, it doesn’t matter! This scumbag is dead. I’m happy that she’s dead! I’m giving her a gift!”

she adds. A flicker of satisfaction moves through me - but not relief. Derrach's death was long overdue. Yet some part of me had wanted to be the one to end him. Raven sees it in me. "He has the most tragic, terrifying and most painful death." she says gently. I nod once. "What's the plan now?" I ask. Cyre steps forward and places a book on my desk. It's cover is cracked leather, bound with symbols I don't recognize .

An Alpha’s Loss, Another’s Gain

An Alpha’s Loss, Another’s Gain

I mumbled, stumbling forward as my vision became blurry and the world spun around me, till there was nothing but total darkness and eerie silence. …………………… .. The sharp smell of rot and mold, overwhelming my senses, stirred me awake. I blinked my eyes a few times trying to clear the haze in my vision as I took in my surroundings. I tried to move, but something cold and heavy bit into my wrist. CHAINS. But they weren't burning into my skin, which means they weren't made of silver, and it also means Alfredo didn't intend to kill me. Not yet.

Hostage

I looked down to see my own blood, pooling over the open pages of the book given to me by the sprites, a blade with black diamonds on the hilt and a large deep red ruby sitting inside a metal frame at the base of the handle, protruded from my stomach. Gasping I could feel my life fade away, I took one last look to see that Joshua had been ran through, his lifeless body laid crumpled on the cold bloody ground. I could hardly recognize the scream of terror that escaped my lips before I felt my life leave my body. Draven.
