Several bindings were cracked. A few looked like they might fall apart if I breathed too hard. Some were labeled. Others weren’t. My attention immediately landed on a thick book sitting up very high, not even eye level. Something about it stood out. “Can you grab that one?” Raiden reached up and pulled it free before handing it over. The cover was dark and worn smooth with age. I opened it right where we stood. My brows immediately rose. “This is about prophecies.”
