Countless people walked through me to try and save Evan. Alas, he was indeed an exceptional medical examiner. He knew the fastest way to die. Evan's body continued to twitch slightly. In his final moment, I saw him pointing toward me with his finger. He seemed to have spotted me. Smiling, he closed his eyes, putting an end to the last of his lingering attachment to this world. The situation descended into chaos as another medical examiner shook his head, signifying to Henry that Evan was dead.

He’s clean and has no vices that may cause a heart attack or any kind of illness.” “And what? He just died?” I asked, raising a brow. “You can answer that. We are humans, and death because of illness, accidents, and murder is mainly the cause of our deaths. I don’t know about supernatural beings,” he answered, and he had a point. Although we could die the way humans did, unexplainable death was something common for our kind.

Crystal countered back. I pursed my lips and shrugged. "I think the worst way to die is when you do not know about it. Like dying in one's sleep. You know when they're stabbed, butchered, jump off a plane, or are involved in an accident, they have that whole my-life-is-flashing-in-front-of-my-eyes moment but when they die of no cause at all, it's worse." They all stared at me like another head had sprouted out of the side of my neck like a blooming rose. "Damn," Crystal said. "That's kind of deep-ish."
