I still didn't understand what she was trying to say. Three months ago, i–or we in particular, got a video from an anonymous sender. It was a partially blurred video of a place in Golden City, called Mount Olympia. It had a slight description written : 'Mount Olympia, Home of gods on Earth, House of Zeus. I definitely wanted to ignore the video, since I couldn't believe a mansion on a mountain was home to gods, most especially, Zeus. But, Zara insisted we upload it, to be sure of it's source, and how legit it was.

The air felt thick with ozone and hidden power. Joel slipped between the racks, heart steady. At the center stood an elevated console, its interface displaying cascading lines of code: the predator’s heartbeat. Leila, monitoring remotely via a hardened line, whispered through the comms. “It’s processing massive data sets. Victim profiles. Behavioral forecasts. And financial ledgers tied to IZO44.” Suddenly, the servers whirred louder. Lights intensified. A holographic projection materialized above the console: a silhouetted figure, features obscured.The voice that emerged was calm, synthesized yet commanding.

Cinna puffed out a reluctant huff but ultimately complied, receding to the background and leaving Zoe lying on the grass with her eyes tightly closed. “Look at me, baby doll.” I coaxed. “Are you here for your rejection?” Zoe whispered. “Is that what you want?” I asked with barely restrained hope that she would deny it. “What I want or don’t want hardly matters. You’re obviously anxious to move on with your chosen mate.” She spit the words out acerbically as she pushed into a sitting position.

The sky over the Grey-Space tore open like wet paper, revealing a view through the fracture that made my heart stop. It wasn't Lagos. It wasn't the Spires. It was a modern, high-tech boardroom in a city called London, 2026. Zoe patted her head and smiled. "No. I'm just going to make you shut that cocky mouth of yours." Zoe grabbed a fist full of hair and brought her face down while bringing her knee up. Crystal screamed as Zoe's knee connected with her face, and blood poured out of her mouth and nose as she fell to the ground. She had a silver collar on, so her wolf was of no use to her.
