No More Time Together

No More Time Together

The next day, I received a call from an unfamiliar number. It had a Northbridge area code. Though I could guess it was Corbin, I answered it anyway. Corbin’s familiar voice came through. “Denise.” His voice sounded a little hoarse. “Hmm.” “I went to your campus yesterday.” “I know.” “Denise, can we please have a proper talk?” “Sure, go ahead.” Since there was no way to avoid it, I might as well lay everything out clearly.

This Time, I Played Differently

This Time, I Played Differently

"This surgery has to be done by Dr. Dover. Call him right away. If he's not here in an hour, the patient won't make it." That's what they said the first time. And here I was, right back in this moment. Eleanor barely hanging on, her frail body like a breath away from collapse. The whole room buzzed with panic. I grabbed my phone, heading for the door, but then—it hit me. Johnny. His blade. The memory of my stomach tearing open like shredded wrapping paper, his grief-twisted face, the searing pain.

Not This Time

Not This Time

Tessa kept refreshing my results page, muttering to herself the whole time. "No way. This must be a system glitch!" The principal and a few reporters came over, staring straight at my score screen. My score was blank. Below it was a line in bold: "Total score: You are ranked in the top 50. Please check back on the 27th for more details." Everyone in the room was stunned. Even the comments section froze for several seconds before it exploded again.

Standing Still

Standing Still

Harmony I was trying to prevent myself from shaking while I was staring at my laptop. I don’t know what to feel about a post on Friendbook related to me. While I was trying to calm down, I continued to stare at a photo posted with a mocking caption. It was me, standing on a stage while in the midst of holding back my tears. The caption says, "Wow, look at your dumb rich girl stuttering through a debate. Is that all you can do? "

In Time, the Truth

In Time, the Truth

He just decided I was guilty. "Are you finished?" My voice was as calm as stagnant water. My reaction caught him off guard, and his anger deflated slightly. "Next Sunday is the children's one-month celebration. You have to attend. Em, stop throwing tantrums, okay?" "Fine." After hanging up, I stared at the stars outside my window and suddenly felt that everything had lost its meaning. … On the day of the celebration, I arrived without makeup. Among the glittering guests dripping in jewelry, I looked like a misplaced ghost. Everyone watched me with pitying, curious, and gleeful looks.

Drifting Apart With Time

Drifting Apart With Time

Natalie hesitated briefly before replying, "He did find her, but she has made up her mind to start anew and move on from the past." Allen let out a rueful sigh. "I'll never understand why some people only learn the value of a person once they've already lost them." Natalie chose not to respond to his comment. She instead shifted the conversation back to the logistics of the premiere, and after finalizing a few more details with Allen, she ended the call. Throughout the following week, Natalie balanced her meetings with Starlight Media with quiet strolls through the winding alleys of Basix. She hadn't been back in four years, and it made her somewhat nostalgic.

This Time, I'm the One Leaving First

This Time, I'm the One Leaving First

Talented minds from all over gathered here to drive innovations and breakthroughs. No one cared about your background, status, looks, or mannerisms. Everywhere you looked, there were researchers with messy hair frowning over complicated equations. After joining them, I quickly became one of them. In the mornings, I didn't have to worry about what to wear or whether my outfit looked polished and presentable. During meals, I didn't need to chew slowly or follow strict dining etiquette. Here, time was the most valuable thing. To get extra time to solve a few more equations, I cut off the long hair I had spent years growing out.

A Time in Between

A Time in Between

Zia Stephanie's POV I felt like time begun to lose its meaning. The passage of time felt like it was heavenly distorted where space time worked into different scale on the other dimension. What should only be a few minutes seemed like I had endured dew hours and what might feel like small width of time could be extensive.

"Yvonne, will you marry me?" As the crowd erupted into cheers, I suddenly grabbed the microphone from the emcee. "Congratulations, Charles Jansen. You and your beloved first love have finally gotten your happy ending. And now, it's time for me to leave. "Charles, I don't love you anymore."

This Time, I Will Not Love You

This Time, I Will Not Love You

“It’s cold~” We can hear the sound of different vehicles passing by. I can’t count how long we stay like that. The only thing I knew is that, we talk using our eyes. The hood of Drake’s jacket finally fell revealing my hair. I want to say something but I can’t break this moment. It’s not that I want us to stay here the whole night but, just this once, I want to stop the time. I want to stop this very moment and carve it into my memories. “Kianna…” Drake called my name using his gentle voice.

A bit confusing at the beginning but this is a very nice story. Read every chapter till the end and it’s a good ending. But I’m a bit curious what happen to marco and hera after they heard the news that kianna died in car accident.

A good story. The switches between past, present and her two lifetimes were a bit confusing but in general I enjoyed the narrative and the development of the mystery of her death and the birth of her new love! Well done author!
