I placed the glass of water beside her and said, "Mrs. Montenegro was concerned about you, miss. She wanted me to bring you some water." Riezel nodded, her eyes welling up with tears again. But then, to my surprise, she reached out and grasped my arm. "Can I ask you something? What's your name?" she said, her voice low and urgent. I hesitated, unsure of what to say. But Riezel's eyes were pleading, and I couldn't bring myself to refuse her. "My name is Delilah, miss." I said, trying to sound neutral. Riezel's grip on my arm tightened. "I've noticed the way Raphael looks at you, Delilah. He seems to trust you, to value your opinion. And I was wondering...could you help me get closer to him?"

I asked, looking between the two women. Deep down, I wanted to ask Deliana why she abandoned me, but I couldn’t complain because I had found the best parents. "She has your spark." Ariella added amused. She was an entirely different person than the monster who had attacked our ship… "Then let us start at the beginning." Deliana said, going to the seat Lavina had sat in previously and sat down, her tail flicking as she did so. We all sat down and Lavina smiled at Deliana.

“Lena, listen to me. Focus. I need you to stay with me. Let me pull him out.” I swallowed, nodding weakly, my throat dry as sandpaper. The weight of Cassian’s presence pressed against me, like his hands were around my throat, squeezing tight. His laugh echoed in my mind, soft and mocking, like a whisper in the dark. You think they can save you? You belong to me now. “Let’s begin,” Delphine’s voice was steady, but I could hear the edge of fear beneath it. She stepped forward, positioning herself at the foot of the bed, where a circle of candles had been placed around us.

Melissa's POV How on earth did she know me too well to have called my exact name? I thought it was hidden indeed. What was Delilah up to? Since when has she found out about me? “A deal ?” I asked as I returned my gaze to lady Delilah. “Yes. A deal. Looking at it, we both want something from each other. Or we have something that we both want. Why don't we just make it easier for ourselves” She replied

Let me give it more time. Once I get to my room I run to where my things are. I have not finished unpacking yet. I am still hoping something would happen and I will be out of here before I know it. I managed to bring Delilah’s journals with me. I have read them enough times to have them memorized, but maybe I missed something. How comes in their whole six year relationship, there is no mention of a child. It seems like a very huge thing to pass over, especially someone who mentions her outfits in the journal.

Daelan The first thing I saw when I buttoned my shirt was the mess I had made of her. Elysia lay sprawled across the black silk sheets completely naked, one leg tangled in the blanket, bruises blooming along her pale thighs like fingerprints from hell itself. Hannah, the new girl, added, extending her hand to me. I shook her hand and found myself smiling back. "Hi, Hannah. I'm Delilah." I didn't want to dive into the conversation about my thoughts, but seeing as she was probably going to be the last human I would interact with for a while, I decided to try to be nice. "So, how are you liking the pack so far?" I asked her as the bus started moving. Hannah's older sister was her only family and she had just married into the pack. She had pleadged to the Amethyst pack no longer than a month ago, but that was all I knew about her.
