I turn to the army behind me. “That’s the signal, boys. Let’s go!”
A roar erupts from the demons. They surge forward like a living tidal wave, eager for blood.
I hang back a little, letting the bloodthirsty gods and front-line demons get ahead. I keep the generals close to me. They’re too clever to send in blind. If they see what we’re walking into, they’ll adapt too fast. Can’t have that.
