They were clearly suspecting something—probably, not that I had summoned the demons, more likely that I had found a necromancer somewhere and was hiding him from the people so he wouldn’t get burned. And in return for that, he rendered me his services. Well, innocent until proven a necromancer, so...
I commanded the army to prepare to march out.
Why? Because if the demon had stayed there, we would need an army to handle him. If he summoned another demon army, we would have to fight them, too.
