Her blindfold grew damp with tears. Kale’s lips hovered near her throat. His breath was hot, ragged. He parted his lips, fangs gleaming in the dark. The demon within him roared for blood. But just as his mouth touched her skin an invisible force surged between them. A jolt, violent and unearthly, struck through his body. His head snapped back with a gasp.
