I thrusted my fist into the air and pulled him closer to me. “No, dad.” Frey screamed and was running toward me, but I pinned her to the ground, taking her dagger with my telekinetic ability. “Look at me, old man. My face is the last thing that you'll see and that is going to hunt you for the rest of your afterlife.” I smirked. “Please don't do this. I'll do whatever you want.” She pleaded. “But Frey, darling, you are not in a position to make demands anymore.” I remarked and slammed the dagger into his chest, a spiteful grin tugging at the corner of my lips as the man escaped my arms like a withered leaf falling off a tree branch.

But he maintained his angry demeanor, unwilling to let Freya sense even the slightest hint of the defeat he was feeling. “For the last time, Freya, get out," he snarled, his voice trembling with barely suppressed fury. "Get the hell out of my sight before I…" "Before what?” Freya said sharply, staring hard at him in an intimidating manner. Desmond paused momentarily, unable to speak as though his tongue were tied. His eyes locked onto hers, and he could see the cruel determination in her eyes. There was no hint of sympathy or remorse in her eyes. Freya had become a terrifying monster. What kind of twisted evolution had she undergone?

Darius didn't even have time to scream as he was propelled backward, his armor melting into his skin, crashing through the heavy oak doors of the barracks. Then she turned to Alaric. The High Alpha drew his sword, his eyes wide with a frantic, cornered terror. “Stay back! I am a Lord of the Ridge! You cannot-” “I am the First Flame,” Freya interrupted, her voice a death sentence. She didn't use a blade. She simply raised her hands, and the very air around Alaric turned to plasma. A vortex of fire swirled around him, a cage of sun-fire that cut off the oxygen and turned the cobblestones beneath him into molten glass.

“Our Lord isn’t as cheerful as the rest of the leaders. He was really against any of his children even coming here. He fears they may lack food.” Though she nodded her head in understanding, her eyes did not peel themselves off Freya’s body. “So we have a good chance of capturing the flag?” Ayra asked. Freya’s skin pricked with the stare from Alana. Never had she ever been thrown into a situation where she could not speak due to the effects of a pair of eyes. She was the princess of Thaymor, the land of the elves, known for her promiscuity and charisma. This was utterly new.

I asked, curiously. She grinned again and answered, “You should already know your master’s name. Perth Otho. He leads the Otho family’s major clan. His younger brother, Dimitri, and their sister, Fayre, each lead the minor clans. So the Othos together make up three clans total—one major, two minors.”

Freya would have felt pity for the Anomaly, if the thing hadn't nearly torn her limb from limb just a moment ago. Certain that the Summoned Beast could handle the Anomaly, Freya turned to her saviour. He sat on the edge of a rock a few feet above, black coat flying in the breeze, with a disinterested expression on his irritatingly handsome face. Jester Lee. Master Necromancer. Rookie of the Year. Every woman's unattainable fantasy. Arrogant prick. "You're late," Frey said, making her way up the slope towards him. "You're ungrateful," he replied, looking even more disinterested than before.
