The Demon King leaned back, one leg slung over the armrest, grinning down at me with a slow, cruel smile. He was red-skinned and powerfully built and his body seemed to have been carved from molten stone. Two curved horns rose from his brow and black hair darker than night itself flowed down his back. A short, trimmed beard traced his jaw, but what caught my attention the most was the fact that he was... NAKED? “What in the fuck?” I muttered under my breath as I placed my hands over my eyes, trying to avoid the eye of the monster in between his legs. "Where the hell are your clothes?”

"Of course! Tomorrow is Halloween! They are getting prepared" She studied the scarecrow and for a second, she thought that the scarecrow moved its head and was staring at her now. She flinched and moved backward. That was when she noticed that one of the kids was at the back of the scarecrow and was adjusting its head.

“Splendid!” The tall scarecrow walked on toward Town Hall, with his long, awkward stride. It was Mrs. Belfry who had brought the strange creature to Lilith’s Hollow. He was once human but nutty as a loon. It was a curse that transformed him into the scarecrow and, as calculated correctly by the witch, saved his sanity. The citizens of the town took him in with the same kindness and acceptance they showed to all new creatures.

I demanded. The demon shared a worried look with the vampire. Albert snarled, digging his nails slowly into the demon’s neck. Blood slowly started to drip down the demon’s neck as Albert’s nails punctured the skin once more. “Answer him or relive your worst nightmare a thousand times over while I drain every drop of blood from your veins,” Albert promised. “A… Aidan was spacing out. Scor... Scorcha hit his leg with a riding crop. He got mad and threatened her while all the plants turned carnivorous.” He stammered his answer.

Screams of delight and protest from those who were observing us from outside the electric cage echoed in the air alongside the terrified screams of the children. I twisted my cuff, turning it into a crossbow, to parry a demon headed my way. After that, I shot it between the eyes, killing it in an instant. I barely managed to dodge the second demon coming my way. The area was so crowded that it was hard for me to make any sort of movement.

She took out a little scarecrow from her gown, which she had prepared in advance. Then, she used an ink pen to write down Thomas’ birthday on the yellow charm before she stuck it on the scarecrow. In the end, she dropped Thomas’ blood on the scarecrow’s “head.” Once everything was ready, Mrs. Morgan started the ceremony. She performed a creepy dance while she muttered to herself. Nobody knew what she was whispering because they could not hear her clearly.
