Where the silver half was molded to form a crescent moon, the gold created a perfectly round sun. Every time I slowed, too busy gawking at the elaborate artwork lining the walls, the wolf at Azrael’s side nudged me with its snout. First of all, the paintings moved. How could I not stop and stare? Second, the legends always said that Orion was the most powerful of the wolf gods, but it wasn’t until now that I actually believed it. It was oh so comforting that he also happened to have the worst attitude. When the wolf bumped me for the fourth time I grunted, “Can you tell your pet to stop pushing me along? The trio spread out, each taking a defensive stance, ready to face the horrors that awaited them. Suddenly, the ground trembled beneath their feet, and a swirling vortex of darkness materialized before them. From its depths emerged the first demon, a towering beast with jagged horns and eyes that burned with an unholy fire. Its skin, as black as the abyss, seemed to ripple with raw power. With a roar that sent shivers down their spines, the demon lunged at Marcus, its claws slashing through the air. Marcus, with his werewolf agility, evaded the attack and retaliated with a swift, powerful strike.

Ash. His back was to her, but it was unmistakable—the broad shoulders, the dark hair, the way he stood with military precision. He was clad in the armor of a general, his raven-crest insignia gleaming in the candlelight. She could feel the breath catch in her chest, her heart thudding painfully against her ribs. Was it really him? Was he here, in front of her, as the empire’s prized weapon? Nia took a step forward, her feet moving of their own accord. But before she could close the distance, a chill swept through her. The hairs on her neck stood on end as if her wolf soul recognized him even before she could see his eyes.

I nodded stiffly, still buzzing from the feeling of his lips on my skin and wanting more. He sent a cheeky smirk my way before grabbing my hand in his and pulling me in the direction of his territory. We held hands as we walked back to his territory through unclaimed land, where rogues were free to roam. Rogues are wolves that have either left their pack or been kicked out. They were ruthless, soulless werewolves who don't care about rules or authority. When we finally made it to Dark Apollo's territory, Bryan's Beta Andrew met us by the border. He welcomed me back, before telling Bryan about something to do with the pack business.

"I don't sense any darkness within her." "Dante?" Chloe looked between Lucas and Dagmar. "Who is Dante?" "Dante was a demon." Lucas replied. "A few years back he tried to create an army of hybrids including demon-werewolves. He was defeated but not before he succeeded in fathering two demon-werewolf hybrids." "That we know of." Ursula interjected. "No one knows for sure if there are anymore or not." "So, you think I'm part demon?" Chloe asked slowly, not totally believing what she was hearing.

Well, what do I expect their food to eat here when the only foods in the world are made from animals, fruits, and vegetables? I laughed as I looked at the image of the snow demon. Both visions disappeared and the image of my she-wolf remained in front of me. So she was talking to me? The she-wolf turned her head to one side and there appeared the image of the black wolf Michael in animal essence. He looked at my moon, not tearing his fiery gaze. But the moon turned away in the opposite direction, where the image of the snow demon, Marun, appeared. He was also in his true essence as a demonic beast. The white wolf also looked intently into the eyes of my she-wolf. There was snow in his eyes. The moon turned away from him in my direction, thereby making it clear that it was still up to me to choose.

His tail wag vigorously, then dashes off and pounce two demons, mauling at their neck. After killing off the demons beneath his feet, Dominic lifted his nose in the air and gave out an alpha howl. He called to his pack mates. Two giant wolves, dark tan color and gray run past me. Malik and Clayton had heard their alpha and shifted to his aid. They form a trio going at it, fighting the demons one by one. I was about to join back when a dark silhouette ran past me quickly. "Come at me, you little shits! The Red Dragon King has rested and is ready to take you all on!" Vernon roared, blowing fire from his mouth.
