I hit send, not really expecting a reply, but Bill texts back immediately: "Good to hear you're home safe. Sleep well, Serena." I plan not to reply back, ready to put the phone down and end the night. But then another message from Bill pops up: "I just want to say..." Curiosity gets the better of me, and I hesitate, my fingers hovering over the keyboard. Finally, I type back: "What is it?” Five minutes drag by with no response, leaving me staring at the screen. Finally, Bill's message comes through: "Nevermind. Sweet dreams."

“You want more of this?” she asked as she lifted her head with some effort. She truly felt boneless and now understood how people could actually like this. She never did before. Though limited, it was never anything good before. It was just a simple act and a release for the partner she had. Never something she enjoyed.

, She asked as she impatiently waited for his reply, she fidgeted with the handle of her purse as she waited for his answer. "Maybe you should find that out yourself", he replied her. "Duhhh, but I really want to know", she pleaded. "That's for you to find out", he replied as he opened his arm wide waiting for a hug from her. She looked at his face to his open arms waiting for her to come forward for a hug. "Those arms of yours wide open waiting for a hug, would surely ache, you should better start going", she bawled at him. She was angry that he may had enjoyed the company of top models, actresses, artists and other top class women.

"What on earth for? Sorry - I mean,what do you want to use them for?" James asked,trying not to overreact, that's if he hadn't already. "James,I mean no harm to her,so don't get angry. I just realized I like her so much and I want to get close to her. Maybe, she would give me a chance." Philip couldn't figure out why he was getting angry. He had hoped James could help him talk to her in conviction to his cause. He didn't expect his reaction at all.

I hope she will accept my message and I hope she replies. “Sorry last time” I added while staring at her photo on my screen. Her smile, her eyes, her beautiful face makes any man launch thousands of ships. I hope she will give me a chance to show her how much I love her. More than her boyfriend can give. I stood up and went to the fridge and got a bottle of beer. I open it and sit in front of my laptop again and check my phone. Hoping to get a reply from her but no reply from her. I tried to call her but she is not answering my call. Maybe she is busy or maybe she is with her boyfriend. The thoughts that I cannot stop from thinking even if it hurts me. Even it makes me jealous.

Isadora had sent that message and he could sense the desperation behind the text or maybe it was just his wishful thinking. He let out a chuckle, this was what he wanted, to have Isadora needing him, wanting him. He wanted her to yearn for him. He put the phone back in his pocket, a coy smile on his face, it was great to be wanted, nothing inflated his ego more than that feeling. He rolled down the window and enjoyed the breeze as it fanned his face, he was suddenly in a very good mood.

Why isn’t the person responding to me? I take a deep breath and hiss, “Who are you, and what do you want? If you aren’t going to answer, I’m hanging up.” A woman’s voice stutters, “W.Wait.” With the one word, I can hear her fear and desperation. Controlling my growing irritation, I calmly ask, “What do you want?” She pauses for a moment and timidly replies, “I have some information you might like to know.” I raise an eyebrow. “What is it?”

"It's kind of obvious he is trying to have a conversation with you but doesn't know how to begin" " I hope so" " Did you reply to the message ?" I asked " No I didn't," she said " I didn't know what to type" " That's fine. You don't have to reply now. I'm very sure he'd send more of these messages. He must miss you" She giggled "it's crazy seeing him do all this to get my attention. Who would have thought he would want to have something to do with me? But, let's not get our hopes up first "

She missed his presence alot. 'Are you on your way home?' Her finger hovered around the send button. No harm could come out of it right? Message sent! Immediately, he replied. He fucking replied! She smiled to herself, She almost thought he wouldn't reply her. 'Why yes, I am on my way home, Shouldn't you be asleep?' He replied. 'I couldn't sleep,' She simply texted. 'You missed me?' He typed back wanting to know her reply. She felt her heart beat faster than it was supposed to. What should she reply? 'Of course I miss you or....no I didn't.'

Before I can type a response, another text pops up. TATUM I wanted to talk to you today. Meet me by the lake? His message is casual, light, but direct. There’s no trace of hidden motives or anything ominous. Just a simple request. I exhale softly, feeling a bit silly for overthinking. My fingers hover over the keyboard. Sure, what time? The response comes almost immediately. TATUM Noon. We can go for a run. The corner of my lips twitch into a small smile. Diana stirs inside me, her excitement sparking through the bond.
