Since there was no scattered bones in sight or torn flesh to show that it was devoured by another beast, It simply meant… "Another Minotaur,” he said in a cold tone. ‘They must have taken it back to their den. That means they could lead me to the White-Leaved Moonherb’ he said in his mind. A low growl echoed inside his mind. 'Don’t you want revenge?' His beast asked quietly.
