Dexter looked surprised as he blinked at her. “You are actually crying?” He questioned and her bawling increased. Dexter looked uncomfortable as he pulled her over to the couch. He went to the kitchen and poured her a cup of water. “Here, have some water. Why are you crying?” He asked her as he sat beside her, and she silently raised her left hand to show the blood on her index finger.

“It’s not like he doesn’t deserve it. For fuck’s sake he does but what of his mate. Apart from the pain of losing a mate, she will also feel his pains while Dexter kills him. Don’t you think that will be too much for her to handle.” Maxwell nodded. “We’ll just sedate her. She won’t feel any pain that way. And besides I’m sure Reid will block her from feeling his pains and if he doesn’t, we sedate her.
