••~~CORIAN~~•• I didn’t see her coming. Not really. Not like this. I didn’t see her pulling up into my world and flipping it upside down like a hurricane I couldn’t control. Damn. If I had… maybe I would’ve stayed away. Maybe I would’ve spared myself. Or maybe not. Because I didn’t know my own system was that fragile. She wrecked my code. Crashed my system. And she didn’t stop until she ruined it.

"Sam, do you know where my daughter went after she was discharged from the hospital?" Sam looked puzzled. "That's your family matter. How would I know? All I know is that your daughter had a successful operation on the 8th of last month. The whole company was relieved. We thought the little princess would come to visit once she got better." Christian frowned. "When did my daughter have surgery? How come I didn't know?" He paused as if something had just clicked. "Sam, the one who had surgery on the 8th wasn't my daughter."

”I just need to stop at the grocery store first. I really didn't like that run, but I needed were few things, and I would be out of there, so what could go wrong? What I didn't know was that, not only would something go wrong, but it would push me to make a decision even I didn't see coming.

He glanced at me, his smirk widening as he took in my obvious discomfort. “Looks like we’ll have to continue this conversation later,” he said, his tone teasing. I glared at him, my embarrassment only growing. “This isn’t funny, Chris!” I hissed. He leaned in close, his voice dropping to a whisper. “Relax. They didn’t see anything... probably.” “Probably?” I echoed, my voice rising slightly in panic.

How am I supposed to come to terms with this? Yet not Hattie, Lachlan nor Tate seem fazed by it. I don’t get it. -----------

I thought it would be helpful to warn the luna so she could be prepared and come up with a plan.” "So, you didn’t know that you would meet me?” She shook her head, then lifted her eyes just enough to meet mine. There was still some apprehension there, but I also saw a spark ignite.

I didn't think we would be taking too long so there was no need for him to come along. I could see his displeasure in my decision but that was it. “Don’t worry, Gomez. Everything will be fine.” I should have known things won't be.
