"Are you going to have the examination? If not, then let the next person come in." Just then, a nurse entered with a file. "Dr. Susan, this is your resignation paperwork. Dr. Gardner asked you to sign it." "Alright." Jennifer quickly glanced at the document and signed her name. After the nurse left, Maxwell's gaze finally settled on her. "You... are resigning?" He pressed, "Why?"

I asked. “No more problem,” he said. “Oh, that’s good news. I knew you could fix it,” I said. “I resigned,” he said next. “What did you say?” I asked. It’s unbelievable. “I’m out of there,” he said. “Were you fired?” I asked. “I resigned,” he reiterated. “But you loved that company,” I said. “I did but I couldn’t take Quim’s mistreatment of me like I didn’t do anything for his company when in fact I did a lot,” he said.

We were going to figure out a way around this. There was a sudden rush of silence that had me snapping out of my reverie.
