I smirk back before looking back at Stacy. “ You are pathetic, I can't understand how you were ever friends with Lucy. Your awful behavior must have affected Lucy’s too. It's sad you will die today.” She lifts her hand and stares at her nails which change into red claws. “ Lucy’s behavior corrupted mine. I saw how she fought for a stronger mate such that she rejected the pack omega. And honestly I was impressed and encouraged.” She smiles all sweetly, earning a harsh glare from me.

Lucy bit her lower lips and sighed, “I’m going back to the western border next week.” “What?!” Raycon widened his eyes in shock, “why? I mean are you really going to leave me even though I explain everything and said that I chose you as my partner in my lifetime?!” He can’t help to speak loudly, making Lucy get irritated and, slapping her hands to cover his mouth. “Your voice is too loud and that is my plan if you are not going to choose me, however, my parents are excited to see me so I will still visit them later after the event,” Lucy explained.

If you like that brat, you should have claimed him, why to leave?” Morgan said as he rolled his eyes, at least he had not to bear with that unlikeable character, Ryan. “Come on, I liked him because he helped me, but the territory to my heart was already marked by young master Song, the way before I met Christ, so I had no problem in letting him go.” Lucy tried to explain herself but when she turned to look at them, they were making a nauseating face.

Their eyes locked, and she continued, “I’m still here for you and for White Blood. I’ll always be here.” Tate nodded with the same smile, and uttered, “We know, Lucy. Thank you.” He and Suzy then returned to their seats. Lucianne heaved a sigh before she met her mate’s worried gaze. She pulled herself up, and pecked a kiss on his lips. Her black and lilac orbs penetrated into his soul when she uttered firmly, “I love you, Xandar. I’m yours. Only yours.”

“I don’t know, Lucy. Maybe he was just being polite. He and I just get along, that’s all.” She smirks, unconvinced. “Okay then. Stay in denial if you want.” She finishes her drink in one graceful sip, then slams the empty glass lightly on the table. “All I’m saying is, if he likes you and you like him, it’s not the worst idea in the world. The man is stupidly hot, Betty. Like, unfairly hot.” I laugh, shaking my head. “He’s also Nathaniel’s cousin.” Lucy rolls her eyes dramatically, her earrings catching the light. “So what? Nathaniel parades his mistress around like she’s his trophy. If he doesn’t care about boundaries, why should you? You deserve to be happy too.”

Natalie’s POV If this was supposed to be a fake date, someone forgot to tell my heartbeat. The Box had come alive around us — a blur of gold light, laughter, and pulsing bass. Whatever nerves I’d had before had melted away into the rhythm of the room. Luciano was in his element — charming, calm, the perfect date. Every time I laughed, he looked at me like I was saying the funniest thing in the world. The plan was working. Carte Blanche was still at the bar, pretending not to watch us, but his phone had been up more than once. We were getting his attention.

Lucy's voice was sharp and unapologetic, “Once she leaves, Lillian will be out of the dungeon, and you can rule without any more challenges. I will get married to the Northern king.” Lucien's fists hit the table before him. “Never.” His wolf growl from within, erupting from his throat. His eyes flickered from brown to dark brown. Everyone thought Lucien meant Lucy would never marry the King of the North; what they didn't know was that Varn was refusing the news of having Nyssa leave his side. ‘My mate is not stepping out of the Moonrage pack! She belongs here!’ He hissed within him. Lucien struggled where he stood to keep Varn still. But he was losing as Lucy didn't stop speaking.

Lucy said. " I guess I did." He answered wryly. Then she turned to me. " Thanks for the introduction, but I'll be going now." She smiled and was about to leave when Xander came in. " Hey, Natalie. Hi Lucy." He greeted. Lucy stopped and weirdly looked at Natalie. " You're the Natalie. " She said, wryly. Natalie nodded. " Yes.. why?" " Nothing, I have to go now. Bye guys." She said and hurried out of the scene. We all glanced at each other and shrugged. But Natalie and I knew there was some more than that.

She could not believe what she was seeing, she doubted it was the same Lucy that she knew. Lucy put the food on the table with a smile on her face, she went ahead to serve the both of them their individual plates, as it had been already dished, then she walked away smiling. "Um… Logan, what is happening?" Crystal asked, with a puzzled face and Logan chuckled. "Don't worry, I already sorted things out with Lucy, she can only stay here till she finds her mate. Apart from that, we don't share a relationship anymore." Crystal was glad to hear that, although she felt sorry for Lucy. She understood that she must be in pain, even though she was smiling.
