Dog Novel Novels & Stories

She groaned and rolled her eyes. "Goodness, fine!" I helped her stand and she brushed herself off. She glared at all the dogs before lifting her hand. "Sit!" Then, six butts hit the ground. The dogs' tails thudded against the earth and saliva dripped to the grass from panting mouths. She pointed at each one of the dogs and spoke their names, I forgot them all as soon as she spoke them. Except one. Daisy was this huge Bernese Mountain dog with thick fur and a huge loving smile. I already knew she was going to be my favorite. I didn't remember the others, but I knew the Great Dane was Eliza's favorite.

He huffs happily and sits on the sheets next to me. I see that he's a big dog. A Great Dane. Pfft. Really? Dane owns a Great Dane? Wow. This one has white fur with black spots here and there. He seems to be young still. Maybe four or five. There's only one place that's this big, and logically I could have ended up in. Dane's house. There's no real other possibility. "Can you help me get out of here?" I ask the dog. He wags his tail and huffs happily. He leans down to attack my face again, but I put my hand between us. He just licks my hand. I notice his collar and see a metal tag with a name.

she murmurs, her voice small but happy. I watch as Callum visibly relaxes beside me, his shoulders losing some of their tension. His hand slips from mine, resting on his thigh as he leans a little closer to Nevina. “I... used to have...a dog a lot bigg-er than Little Bear. His name was...chance.” “Really?” Nevina looks up at him, curiosity sparking in her eyes. “What kind of dog?” Callum glances at me, as if gathering strength, before turning back to her. “Germ-German shepherd. They are smart and brave.”

“We may need some help with this one though. They are going to need exercise as well. They will need walks or runs when they are older. Did you see the mother dog?” “It was yellow.” He replied. “Yellow because that matters.” She said sarcastically. “Big, small, medium?” “Medium.” He replied. “Show me.” She replied, and he measured on his leg. “Okay. That really is a medium-sized dog.” She replied. “Probably a lab of some sort.” “Does that matter?” he asked.

Days passed, and they found nothing. In the end, it was an online user who provided a crucial lead. Using surveillance footage from the location they mentioned, the police tracked the dog to an abandoned chemical plant. It was aggressive and classified as a banned breed under national regulations. The officers had to break one of its legs before finally restraining it to capture it. A photo of the captured rabid dog quickly spread online, and the public cheered in unison. "They caught the dog—now they can find the owner!" "Keeping an illegal breed without a leash? The owner should be jailed too!"

She pouted just a little when he stomped it on the deck, then threw it over the balcony. “I, I was just, I,” she stumbled over her words, completely stunned at the gorgeous man glowering over her. “Well,” he tapped his foot impatiently, as if he were dealing with a child. “It helps my nerves,” she finally stuttered. “And what is that?” Drago gestured to her dog, who was still snoring away, unfettered by the handsome doctor’s presence. “Oh, that’s Thor, my mastiff,” “Mastiffs are good guard dogs, from the time of the Romans,” Drago said thoughtfully.

Dale asked, his voice filled with apprehension. “You’ve seen Juke’s and the others wolf. Think… very large dog. With an attitude. And a serious lack of social graces. You'll be faster, stronger, and have a sense of smell that could rival a bloodhound on a bacon-seeking mission. You might also find yourself howling at the moon. It’s a classic." "Howling?" Dale asked as he pictured himself in his pajamas, baying at the celestial orb. "But I can't even carry a tune in the shower!"

There’s one door that is shut, that door leads up to the bedroom. "This is my home, there's only one bedroom so ma'am you take my bedroom and Suki and I will stay in the living room." He picks up the small dog which is circling around his leg. "It's cute." She says looking at the dog. "Yeah she's Suki, she's a great companion." He says kissing the dog. She smiles and slowly sits on the couch holding her head. There is a hammering pain in her head, maybe it is because of all the stress and crying. "Do you have a headache?" He puts the dog down. "No um.. yeah a little bit." She looks up at him. "Okay you sit here I will be back." He walks away and disappears in the kitchen area.

She looks toward the door behind her, the dogs and cats cry. Being lead to the back she looks around at the dogs first, seeing all kinds of breeds she stops at a dog that laid down on his bed, looking at his chart she smiles, “bluetick bloodhound mix..interesting. Cmon boy, come.” Squatting she smiles, “I like you.” She says as he comes over, licking her fingers.

The flowers and vegetables were blooming with vitality. The door opened, and a dog came running out, circling happily around their feet. "Doodle, stop that." Jocelyn picked up the dog and flashed a kind smile. "Did he scare you? This little guy is too energetic." "Not at all." Rebecca shook her head. "He's so cute. His name is Doodle? Doodle, look here. Give me your paw." It was a small breed, perfect for elderly people. It was easy to pick up and not too strong to walk on a leash.
