I take a pause as a rogue tear falls out and my voice breaks, "whenever you see the beach or the ocean, remember me. Whenever you see the sun set, think of me. Whenever you see a black dress or a Chinese restaurant, think of me, whenever you -"
"Stop!" He cuts me off loudly, shaking the earth, fury evident in his eyes, "Just, stop it okay!"
He comes close to me and holds my chin up so he can look into my eyes.
"I won't," he says, and I feel a cold and sharp pointed object on my belly. My eyes widen at the realization of what it is. "I'll forget you completely. It'd be like you never existed."
"Then do it," I say without thinking twice. "Kill me and let's get this over with."
