Playing with the Enemy
As I raised a glass to my host, telling him a small, dirty joke, the machines were activated, and in seconds, every movable person rushed out from twenty buildings, running for their lives.
As it was a Sunday, very few ‘official’ people were on site.
As security men, workers, and kidnappers swept out in the midst of dust and smoke, also caused by my equipment, my men moved into the warehouse we had marked and, through tunnels shown on the schematics received from Ed Tanner, guided our spoils out of the building, and away from the entire area.
Once clear, the machines pulsed a second wave, and, while I was drinking wine at the dinner table, walls and roofs came down.
