The Last Thunder

The Last Thunder

“USSE!! DOKKE!!” Darrion leaned away from the door, raising his eyebrows. He didn’t know whether that means this Kuroda understands what he said but chose to reply in Shouha, or he really doesn’t want to be bothered at all so he shouted angrily at him. What is Usse and Dokke anyway? Darrion didn’t know. What Darrion noticed was that this Kuroda might be younger than him, because the voice seemed like it. Darrion knocked again. “Excuse—”

NOT A DOORMAT ANYMORE

NOT A DOORMAT ANYMORE

She showed me everything. The shelf of animals and their individual names and personalities. The drawings on the wall, each one explained in detail, that one was Button in the garden, that one was Daddy at work which was why he looked so serious, that one was a princess but not a regular princess, a princess who also knew karate.

What did Tashi do?

What did Tashi do?

There were several crumpled packets of previous food delivery orders thrown carelessly around the floor. Karan slouched shirtless in his chair and opened an incognito window on his browser. He entered his search item when there were a series of sharp raps on his door. Startled, Karan sat up. He had no friends in the city and the only person who ever knocked on his door was his maid who came to clean up in the weekends. Today, the knocks were incessant, and he could hear a rough male voice from outside saying, “Open up.”

90 Days With Don Cortez As His Submissive

90 Days With Don Cortez As His Submissive

My reflection watched as I fastened it around my throat. A knock came at the door. “Are you ready, señorita?” the butler’s voice called through. “Yes,” I managed to squeak out. The door opened and he held it for me. “The Don is ready to receive you.” °°°°°° The butler and I stopped in front of a massive oak door. Its surface was carved deep with the words KEEP OUT. The door reminded me of him. The butler tapped on it twice. From the other side, his voice came,

The Alpha Daddy's Contractual Bride

The Alpha Daddy's Contractual Bride

The kind of toys not meant for children. I looked at the sign above the door. “Seaside Sensations: An Adult Boutique.” Kieran stiffened and slowly turned to look at me. His voice, low and dangerous and nothing at all like the way he’d spoken to me before, slipped in through the mindlink. “Charlotte… What the fuck is this?”

The Door at Midnight

The Door at Midnight

"Where are you staying now? You don't even have enough for a taxi, right? Need a lift?" Matthew sighed, telling Shirley to quit pretending to care. "I don't care if she walks or crawls back," he grumbled. Just then, a white Porsche SUV pulled up smoothly behind Matthew's car. Edwin stepped out and kindly opened the passenger door for me. He gave me a warm smile and asked if I had gotten the divorce papers sorted out. "All set? Hop in. I've got some organic honey and herbs, and my aunt's making some nice herbal tea back home," he said.

The Demon Prince's Promise

The Demon Prince's Promise

“No. And I won’t believe in it too. So, would you please open the door before I shoot an arrow at you?” They stare at each other, eye to eye. It took quite the moment and then Kenshi finally unlocked the door. It opened on its own and before Mizuko left she uttered, “Thank you!”

Emotionless Attachment

Emotionless Attachment

because we usually go home to the condo, we only come here every weekend. When I parked my car, I immediately took the key from my bag. I immediately opened the wooden bricks style door. It shades the wall, so there is no visible door, like an illusion. Kalex has a gimmick of course. I don't know anything about his plan about building a house. I caught up with Kalex cleaning the living room. When he noticed me, he stopped what he was doing and approached me. He smiled tenderly and hugged me lightly, then left a quick kiss on my lips.

Dragon Moon

Dragon Moon

So she may as well do this alone. With her sword in its scabbard, and the shield she’d been wielding strapped to her back, Nya carefully opened the door that led to the hallway. She’d already oiled it a few days ago so that it opened without a sound. Checking both sides of the hallway, she saw nothing in the flickering torch light, nor did she hear the echoes of bootsteps from any of the adjoining hallways. Satisfied she was in the clear for now, Nya stepped out into the hallway and gently closed the door behind her.

Gunnar

Gunnar

He was like Pennywise, Squidward, Eeyore, and freaking Johnny Bravo wrapped in one annoying ass package. I pulled on my black blazer, grabbing my handbag and phone, "Venus, I'm leaving. Behave please, no peeing on the rugs and especially no number two, three, or four!" I ran awkwardly toward the door, blowing her a kiss and waving, "mummy loves you." With those words, I closed and locked the door behind me. Making extra certain that the door was locked because I honestly didn't trust my neighbors.

This book is a must read. I couldn't put this book down. The characters are very realistic and the story line is something you can actually see happening in real life; especially when you have a dysfunctional family. This book is full of humor as well. I absolutely loved it.

Loved is actually an understatement. One of the best stories I have ever read. Just finished Ace (freaking amazing, loved just as much) and going to finish this binge reading by reading Jericho. Worth reading all night, who needs sleep when you have these outstanding characters keeping you company!
