She pulled back a little, her chest rising, and her mouth opening in a way that he knew was not possible for a normal human being. Large fangs came out in the place of her normal teeth, and her face took on the shape of a ferocious animal. Veins popped out on her face, and her pure brown eyes turned a shade of black worse than anything he had ever seen before. She growled, emitting the most terrifying sound he had ever heard.

And I pulled. The objects flickered. Some disappeared. Others remained. "Half," Dracula said. "Better than I expected. Again." He created more objects. Bigger ones this time. More complex. "Again." I pulled at reality. More objects disappeared. But I stumbled, nose bleeding. "Your body can't handle the strain yet," Dracula observed. "You're burning through your energy too fast. You need to learn efficiency. Precision. Right now you're using a sledgehammer when you need a scalpel."

She reluctantly sat there, looking at the Goddess in front of her. "Give me your hand," Hecate offered, showing the girl her upturned palm. She placed hers in it, a little surprised at the coldness meeting her skin. "You are grieving. Your heart has been broken by the vampire," the Goddess' voice sounded ominous and powerful, suddenly coming from all around her. Diana's breath hitched in her throat. The Goddess wrapped her hand around hers, her sharp and black nails quickly sinking into Diana's skin like tiny blades, drawing blood. Diana let out a pained mewl, eyes widening with alarm.

He was good, and I almost felt sorry for him, for I knew that Jacqueline would not spare him, Jacqueline wouldn't forgive, and who knows, Elayne might be pretending to be good.
